I'd say my list is of the 'bare minimum' category. I would not be okay with someone who did not meet at least that bare minimum. I don't think it is inflexible at all.

Finding a mate is a pretty complex procedure and like all complex procedures it's good to have heuristic devices in place to make them easier. You should be flexible about things - if you go searching for a woman, but end up in the arms of a man you love there is no point telling yourself that your 'rules' dictate he can't be the one. By the same token though, if you know you generally want a woman who shares your Amish cultural background, that you are a fat fetishist and that you prefer women to men, then saying 'no non-Amish people, no slim people, no men' is a good general start that will help you on your way.
