Whatever. Your ideal society is not realizable in the American continent, and the facts are on my side anyway. I think I'm safe.

My ideal society will not be realized in quite some time, but if I don't fight for it now who will?

The French revolution would have been nothing if peasant revolts hadn't started the path towards liberation, I hope to be a part of a generation remembered by history as the forerunners of enlightened thinking, if nothing else.

What are you doing to fight for it?

BTW Kon, go easy on Cheesecake. For a good while there I genuinely thought your handle was Konolulu, it's an easy mistake to make.

If Dave is as great as you say he is Dr.House he should be more than capable of defending himself.

Do you really have to be reminded of the past threads you, C_M and Dave have had on 'race realism', where the whole scientific basis has been thrown into doubt (at very least) using science and academic approaches? Your ability to find more material to repeat the same flawed approach doesn't make it any more valid. These threads are quickly dismissed by the 'race realists' as not convincing, but the the science presented as a counter argument hasn't been challenged.

BTW Kon, go easy on Cheesecake.

Perhaps Dave, can explain that Cheesecake's error is the result of laziness? Or perhaps his brain in inherently flawed and he deserves no special treatment?

Why did we need Dave to come back when we could get daily updates from you lot anyway? Hey, what did he have for breakfast?

I was going to ask why you're so antagonistic, but I decided not to.

I was going to ask why you're so antagonistic, but I decided not to.

1. I find the race realism discussions to be like polution. It tends to be raised in topics where it is not the subject, and when it is the subject the race realists of this forum suddenly don't want to dicuss it. Needless to say, I find this frustrating.
2. When the above is stacked with the 'you know I'm right' attitude, frustration rises. People can be wrong about things, they can even continue to hold beliefs which are wrong but I can't stand a belief that those incorrect beliefs have not been sufficiently challenged.
3. I borrowed Dave's style (which can be antagonistic, remember his forgetable 'anti-KurtFF8' shtick?) to make a point, and frankly, my own amusement.

Fair enough, but often racialists are assaulted with discussing this topic in threads that have nothing to do with the topic. Also, I'm not sure if you remember but there was an extensive discussion of racialism already and racialists would always contest the arguments when they came up. Its only been recently, after all that has been discussed to the point of nausea, that racialists avoid the conversation.

I can dig it. But if you want to take an impartial view of this, both sides do it.

3. I borrowed Dave's style (which can be antagonistic, remember his forgetable 'anti-KurtFF8' shtick?) to make a point, and frankly, my own amusement.

See, but the difference is that Dave is usually clever when he does it. A cheap shot at my dyslexia is not exactly funny or even hurtful, it just seems like belligerence on your part.

Of course if you're trying to emulate a dick, you've succeeded thoroughly. But I think it was one of those things where if you said it in real life there would be an awkward silence and then we would have just moved on.

Not that I care, if you want to make fun of my dyslexia go right ahead, because I don't feel any kind of discomfort over the topic.

I'm not convinced it has. Obviously the kind of meta-analysis possible within societies is not possible between societies, but considering a causative relationship has been found between IQ and success among individuals controlling for a number of environmental factors, the fact that there is a 70% correlation between national IQ and national income is significant.

Of course, I have to admit that since causation can't be definitively proven in social sciences, I use Housian inductive reasoning to arrive at conclusions. So my standard of evidence is probably a bit sloppier than yours.

No, I was just mentioning that it's extremely easy to mistake "Konulu" for "Konolulu", so Cheesecake wasn't necessarily mocking Kon.

I think you may only believe his material to be clever because it's not being directed at you. Unfortunately Dave's recent post about hunting down a 'fag' has been deleted, so I can't show you a brilliant example of Dave's less than brilliant sense of humour.

A cheap shot at my dyslexia is not exactly funny or even hurtful, it just seems like belligerence on your part.

I was under the impression dyslexia was an issue of reading letters in sequence, but anyhow. I think the comparison between Dave's race politics, and his treatment of it, and your disability apt.

Of course if you're trying to emulate a dick, you've succeeded thoroughly.

Cool, thanks. You see, part of the Dave thing is getting acknowledgement for poor behaviour, so this completes the circle.

@Dr House
Obviously the kind of meta-analysis possible within societies is not possible between societies

But a look at the development of a society demonstrates the emergence of more intelligent people with the improvement in material conditions. People in subsistence agriculture have little opportunity to exercise their brains (never mind the link between malnourishment and development), from a testing perspective they are probably at a disadvantage in a standardised testing environment too.

considering a causative relationship has been found between IQ and success among individuals controlling for a number of environmental factors

How have these analyses demonstrated this causative effect of IQ leading to success, as opposed to success making for better IQ?

the fact that there is a 70% correlation between national IQ and national income is significant.

One of the very points of contention that has been discussed over and over is that the statistical basis for such claims is poor. The links below discuss the possibly fraudulent statistics, as well as the possibility that the groups being tested are not racial based (thus if the statistics don’t prove a racial link... perhaps it suggests something else).

This is my favourite. You explicitly endorsed the racial IQ theory as scientific, and then wouldn’t discuss it. From page 3
Fuck it. I'm too lazy to go searching for a source, so I'm not participating in this debate any longer.

Nah, when Dave's being a prick he's not clever. I remember when he made fun of Nadine for being fat, and MistyTiger too, I thought he was just being stupid.

Not just that, but difficulty forming letters, picturing what the thing that one is reading means, and general difficulty reading. Sometimes I'll stare at the same sentence for five minutes trying to understand what it means only to figure out that I had misread a pivotal word in the sentence.
