Of course I'm talking about female virginity, as very rarely is male virginity discussed with any reverence, nor is it controlled and put up on a pedestal the way female virginity is.

So here is a thread to discuss female virginity, past and present...and for those who care about it to explain what they think the value is in it.

Do you value female virginity at all?

Is it something you want your partner to have?

Does it make any difference to you at all if your partner is not a virgin?

Why do you think female virginity is seen as so important compared to male virginity?

What do you think about the way male virginity is seen (as an affliction, an embarrassment) compared to female virginity?

If you attain ownership of a female virgin, ejaculate inside her often, and make sure she never sees another male, you can be entirely certain that her progeny is yours.

I don't know.

A vagina and cute toes.

Does it make any difference to you at all if your partner is not a virgin?

I've never been with a virgin.

'Important' as you're using it is relative. It isn't (from what I've seen) important that a woman is a virgin, it's just that a man who's a virgin is a source of ridicule.

And I don't think you're going to get very much response to this thread. Or really any, since there don't seem to be very many feminists on the forum.

Of course it's relative. It's less of an issue in the West (though male virginity is still ridiculed yes), and very much still an issue in other countries. It used to be a major issue here.

My perspective on this is feminist, but this is not a 'feminist' thread. It's a thread about virginity. Mostly female virginity but male virginity is up for grabs, if you'll forgive the pun, too.

It was triggered by a comment about men not marrying because can't find virgins.

This.

I'm trying to move away from my parent's traditional societal rules but it's still embedded into my brain. To put it simple, I'm not marrying anytime soon, but I would feel somewhat bad if another guy has already conquered a woman that I want to marry. I'm sure I'll get over it.

I think that he means that she can't be a sneaky lying bitch. It seems that very few ladies are actually "lady like" now a days.

I don't know many 'sneaky lying bitch'es. Clearly the problem is that you're being hyperbolic.

 women are not objects to possess, they are people to be fucked. There is a really big difference.

On the thread, obviously I don't care whether or not me girl is a virgin. I've had sex with two virgins and both those times ended badly (crying), since then I have only ever been with girls who no longer have a hymen or daddy issues.

Female virginity was an issue before girls were porking at 14 and marrying at 23.

Now the problem is women with kids or diseases.

I would be lying if i said i don't mind female virginity. Yes i do mind it in a sense that i don't like to have sex with virgins. So an absance of it is advisible.

Sephardi:

Let me guess, your primary interaction with women is in clubs or at frat parties. Good luck finding genuine people there.

JohnRawls:

Interesting position, would you have any problem with a girl who's been in a, say, five-some?

Quoted for the win.

And I really like how often you resort to state-based insulting. Real classy.

Me too. And I'm not even as much of a woman-hater as Sephardi is. It's just a basic instinct: women are the gate-keepers, they're supposed to evaluate each viable candidate and pick the best mate. If she's just letting anyone in there, why should I want what everyone else has had? I remember having a huge problem with what my girlfriend in 8th grade had done before I was with her, despite the fact that I genuinely loved her. I got over it anyways, but it's nothing compared to what people have done nowadays.

No. I've never even been to a real frat party. I barely go clubbing although I will start clubbing more often in the summer. I'm not at any club/party/socialization with bitches right now am I?

I have friends who's lives have been pretty much screwed up by bitchy women who screw with them on purpose. The advice that I keep getting from people who've been through these experiences is not to let a woman too close to your heart until you have been with her for a long time and think that she might be marriage material. This should be true for any man who doesn't want to go through this whole drama bullshit.

And I'm not even as much of a woman-hater as Sephardi is.

I'm not a woman hater. It's impossible to live without women. In fact, the University that I'll be attending next semester is 75% female for the motherfucking win. I just understand how women can easily mentally castrate some guys who never feel the same after, and that's no way to live. Of course there are good girls out there. There are more bitches though. For example, my good friend's ex girlfriend (who he dumped because she was going after another guy) when they were together set him up to get jumped by a bunch of other guys. Good thing I told him (the idiot wanted to go alone) that he is an idiot to trust her, and I that me and another friend should come with him when she told him that she wanted to "meet up" with him. Casualty avoided.

Jay Z knows what he's talking about in this song:

In by gone days it represented innocence, today it still does*. In days of old, it was used as a bargaining piece.
In today's terms, for me* at least, virginity no longer equates to innocents or purity, as the kids of today are exposed to stimuli that takes it from them, long before it is given away.
