In the book and the movie the scarecrow wanted a brain and the Wizard of Oz took care of his problem.

He blathers on about wizard of Oz because it's a vague ad hominem. Hindsite's being an ass, but he's trying to do it on the sly. That's, apparently, what real Christians do.

God said in the Bible...
Be an asshole, but be tricky about it, and spread my lies about the countryside like the good sheep that you are.

So how did your god determine what would be a good period for a day?
Why make it 24 hours. Why not say, 25 or 30 or ten?

Yeah, was god talking a day on earth, or somewhere else? Venus, for instance, has the longest day of any planet in our solar system. It completes one rotation every 243 Earth days.

Also:
Is this the longest year in the UNIVERSE? Bizarre planet takes 80,000 Earth YEARS to orbit its sun

Because it worked out good for man to tell time in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, seasons, and years by the movement of the earth, moon, and sun while providing the correct conditions for advance life on earth.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Before that, Gen 1:14 mentions seasons. Seasons before the sun was created?
Surely you can't believe that codswallop?

You are showing your ignorance again.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
(Genesis 1:14 NASB)

Those lights mentioned are the same sun, moon, and stars that a little more detain is provided in verse 16. Now see how stupid you look for jumping to conclusions. You need to ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a refund on that brain you got from him.

I'll walk the dog again. He'll give more mental stimulus than you could remotely achieve.
He responds to intelligent comments.
