When Obama won his Nobel for pre-doing peaceful things or something... it became more obvious that this award is mainly a blue ribbon for showing your share of powerful, status-creating guys "a Harvey Weinstein good time."

President Obama did not win the Nobel Peace Prize. He was given it after only a couple months as President by those that were fooled into believing his bullshit peace talk, but he never actually did anything to bring any peace.

Bob Dylan winning the nobel prize for literature showed that they were desperate for publicity.

Obama being awarded was also probably a publicity stunt, but also stupid as hell, as you point out.

I was glad that Bob Dylan skipped the ceremony, and wrote a rather dismissive letter.

I guess Bob Dylan fucked up their plans by not showing up.
