Jews is not just a religious group, it is an ethno-religious group, and Netanyahu even talked about the "Jewish race". Who is a Jew can only decide a white Ashkenazi Rabbi, and according to these white Rabbis a white atheist from Russia is a Jew, because his grandmother was Jewish, but a black Jew from Chicago is not a Jew, because he does not have "Jewish blood".

These are the two primary ways that Jewish identity resembles Aryan identity: 1. superhero ancestors from the past, and 2. A suspicion that there's superhero blood in your own veins.

Oh really? So that's why Ethiopean Jews were recognized as such because of a Sephardi Rabbi?

But why bother? We all know that the people you are talking about aren't followers of Judaism, though even despite this they have managed to integrate into Israeli society and get citizenship.

Zionists always say that Iran calls himself an "Islamic state", so why Israel should not be accepted as a "Jewish state"?

One should acknowledge the difference between a enforcing religious law and having a national religious identity. You can disagree with both, but they are not the same, I can tell you first hand as an Israeli as there have been voices calling to enforce the Halacha for decades and it is a still viable danger, as I see it, for my people.

If USA was a "Christian State", because it was founded by Christians, the Jews in the USA would cry and call this "racism". So how on earth can USA and Israel share the same values, if Israel is an ethno-religious state, and USA is supposed to be (according to the Israel Lobby in the USA) a "milticultural state"? Multicultural is only a blessing (according to the Zionist media) for the USA and other western countries, but in Israel this is an "existential threat" to the survival of Israel as a "Jewish state".

You need to understand there is no universal solution to this. By deeming itself a christian nation, the US might alienate many Muslim and Jewish citizens that have been living there for ages and feel an equal part of the nation. What purpose would this serve? White Christian culture is no danger of being suppressed, if anything it might evolve do to the multicultural nature of some parts of the US. If anything I would be worried about... well, everybody else in the US, for losing their cultural traditions (always had a soft spot for black separatism ).

On the other hand the situation in Israel is essentially different, it was created and remains a center for the development of Jewish cultural identity. While we will eventually have to deal with our own minorities eventually, especially if we are able to normalize our relations with our neighbors, I'll be frank and say that Israeli Arabs that wish to remain in Israel have bigger problems than the national identity of their sovereign, such as fighting racism and developing their internal economy. In reality there is no one calling for a multinational Israel/Palestine, no one would benefit from it on the short term, and the Hamas refusing to accept Israel as Jewish nation are just trying to say "We want the Jewish population to leave".

Indeed, there is nothing wrong with a country nurturing an ethnic identity. Its not the same as "racial supremacy", because it is relative to no other ethnic group whose rights are being suppressed.

Of course he did, he's a bozo and is trying to destroy our external relations.

I'd agree this is a problem, as with most of the connection between Israeli state laws with the (Ashkenazi) Rabbinic institution, but this is hardly a common problem (enlighten me if you heard otherwise). There are also (admittedly problematic) ways to become a Jew with no blood connections. But the important thing remains that this is not act of racial supremacy, but rather an attempt to enable Israel to retain its national identity and it is not really that different from other states with draconian immigration laws. The status-quo with the Rabbinate just gave them a rather archaic form.

This is an example of the continue struggle inside Israeli rabbis. Many of both his (Ashkenazi) predecessors and successors ruled otherwise, tragically.
