One suspect of the gang of four Jewish terrorists who firebombed the Dawabsheh family five months ago in Occupied Palestine is to be charged with murder while another was released from custody.

The slow and piecemeal prosecution once again shows the double standard used by the Israelis in how Jews are treated more leniently than Arabs in Palestine.

I'm subscribed to some Jewish Twitter accounts and one of the Israeli sources in my Twitter feed claimed few days ago that Jewish terrorists are now treated equally as their Arab counterparts. I think Israeli authorities had enough of settler violence and decided to lay down the law on Jewish extremists as well, which is why this man is facing the terrorism charge. There is the near-consensus view among Israel’s political class that the attack against the Dawabshe family constituted terrorism. Israel’s domestic security agency Shin Bet announced that progress had been made in the investigation, using torture during interrogations.

As the Haaretz article demonstrates, there are no grounds to support the allegation of torture.

The Shin Bet seems to be trying to dismantle the whole extremist group behing the attacks. The process of identifying and infiltrating the group takes several months so I'm not surprised that it has taken this long (unlike the Abu Khdeir case).

If they are indicting these two now it's because doing so will allow the Shin Bet to keep them under arrest thereafter, as administrative detention can't last more than 30 days without one.

Oh, and the second one was released to house arrest for now.

Will their houses to demolished? Will the Arab family get terrorism compensation? Will everyone involved get charged with terrorism? Will there be a number of life sentences?

There is no prospect of Israeli Government or Courts treating crimes by Arabs and Jews the same.

Palestinians are subject to military courts while Jews in the Occupied West Bank come under regular Israeli law. It is a double standard.

The main Jewish terrorist suspect has been named as Amiram Ben-Uliel, 21, who admitted his crime to Shin Bet investigators. Although a Jewish youth helped him plan the murders, Ben-Uliel claims his accomplice did not turn up on the night of the firebombing and that he acted alone which contradicts witness testimony. The youth will therefore be charged only as an accessory in the murders.

Accused Jewish terrorist Amiram Ben-Uliel

Was the self-confessed killer really stood up by his young friend or is he covering for him, one wonders. It is reported that Amiram Ben-Uliel lived in several illegal settlements in the past although he was under an administrative order not to visit occupied Palestine because of his past extremist activity. His parents are currently illegal settlers allowed to live in Palestine by the Israeli government. His wife is also known to have vandalized Palestinians' property.

The world will watch to see if there will be any justice in this case.

There could not be justice in this conflict because of of the very often mass release of Palestinian terrorists in exchange of one Israeli soldiers or Israeli corpse. In this case, the Jewish terrorists are sitting much more time in a jail than the Palestinian ones. Would you call it justice?

Good grief is there no end to this? How many infidels across the world each year are murdered by Muslims? How many raped, assaulted, tortured, violated stolen from, terrorised and intimidated? Yet if some Muslim is on the receiving end from an Infidel its world news. Stop the press! The Muslims already control vast areas of the world, intimidating, violating and oppressing Infidels. If Palestinian Muslims are so unhappy why can't they go and live in one of the numerous Muslim majority paradises? I mean really if the Israelis are really that bad. If they are really so evil, why don't they seek to escape? Israel doesn't put up fences to keep people in like the Communists did. Why don't the Muslim majority countries offer them refuge? In Europe we've absorbed vast numbers of people and given them security, liberty and prosperity, why can't the Muslim majority countries take the whole of the Palestinian Muslim population? There's hardly that many of them.

Personally I'm sick of hearing about these oh so poor oppressed Palestinians.

Not as long as Israel is occupying and blockading Palestine.

Stop attempting to change the subject.

By "some Muslim" I take it you mean 18-month-old Ali Saad Dawabsha. Have the decency to use the toddler's name.

My sympathies.

There is a terrorist who murdered 3 Israelis(including 1 arab) in tel aviv 3 days ago he has escaped and police forces are searching for him

also there are daily terror attacks espacially in Jerusalem region

when Jewish terrorism will be at the same scale than we can talk about equal treatment of both Jewish and Muslim terrorists

The scale of Israeli terrorism against the Palestinian people, most especially in Gaza, over the decades, using an air force, navy, artillary, sniper fire, white phosphorous, targeting civilian areas, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure makes a mockery of your obscene comment.

So terrorist who commit brutal crimes should be punished of some relative scale depending of ethnic type and the prevalence of the crime in their ethnic group?

Really same crime , different sentences based on what others have done?

This is some sort of way to have justice?

Hilltop youth in a Facebook post at their Habaladim outpost

Ben-Uliel is a member of the extremist wing of the Hilltop Youth, which is known for establishing illegal outposts outside existing Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Israel's reputation in the international community is at stake, if these extremist Jewish youths are committing heinous crimes against non-Jews in Israel without being penalised harshly.

Ben-Uliel, 21, admitted his crime to Shin Bet investigators and re-enacted parts of it on December 19, the agency said. That information, however, was kept from the public under a gag order until Sunday when the indictments were filed. He was a member in an organization called Givonim, a subset of the Hilltop Youth, a group of extremist Jewish activists. The Givonim seek to accomplish their goal of anointing a king over Israel by carrying out a violent coup against the government, and murdering or expelling from Israel all non-Jews, the Shin Bet said in a statement following the indictment of Ben-Uliel and his accomplice on Sunday.

Another Dawabsha Family Home Firebombed
The only eyewitness against Amiram Ben-Uliel, the Israeli terrorist accused of the murder of the Dawabsha family last July, Ibrahim Dawabsha, had his house set on fire last night. Without any investigation, the Israelis are denying it is the work of Jewish terrorists and the Israel Defense Force has put a gag order on the Israeli press from reporting details of the attempted murder. Robert Piper, United Nations Coordinator for Humanitarian Assistance and Development Aid, on Sunday denounced the incident. "I strongly condemn today’s arson attack by suspected Jewish extremists on the home of Palestinian Ibrahim Dawabsha in the occupied West Bank village of Duma," he said.

So, the Israelis want the story hushed-up and are suggesting the arson is merely a coincidence. But the world knows differently.
