As an Australian grandfather of 3 I'm apalled by the way we treat th Boat People refugees . I ask any Politican, if this was a way to better his or her family would they risk the dangers ?. Just because Howard used the bogus "Children Overboard" ploy to win an election both parties are demonising refugees who make a perilous journey to the land of a" Fair Go ". Morrison to his discredit is trying a piss poor Orwellian approach with his " Border Protection Policy " or " Illegals " terminology .

I think there is merit in most of what you say.The way that refugees are treated is appalling.The politicians and press are pandering to xenophobia,to increase circulation and gain votes.
