NSW Premier resigned after his testamory about a gift of a bottle of wine ($3000) was proven to be false. After repeated saying he never received such a bottle a 1959 bottle of grange that if he had he would certainly remember, his hand written thank you note came to light, destroying his statements. He also failed to register the bottle on his registry of pecuniary interests. The company Sydney Water Holdings lobbying for a lucrative contract. SWH also involved Eddie Obeid (disgraced former ALP powerbroker already found guilty of corrupt conduct by ICAC) and assistant treasurer Arthur Sinodinos (Abbots liberal federal government) links to both sides of politics.

Joe Hockey announced the "end of the age of entitlement" , what about corrupt business dealings, fat cats from both sides helping themselves to the Australian peoples money. How about apple, goggle, Murdoch, starbucks actually paying SOME tax (no Australian tax is paid as a series of paper transactions mean the actual profit for Australian operations is logged somewhere the tax laws are much more favorable)

How about the Australian Government fixes the corporate and government governance issues and fix the tax system just easily sidestepped by wealthy highly profitable companies.

personally they should NOT be allowed to accept gifts of any kind from anyone. There is a simple system of legalised corruption and graft operating at the moment, O'farrell was too dumb to comply with it, and lied about it under oath, (well in IMHO, I agree with O'farrell when he said if got a 1959 bottle of grange he would remember it, taken at his word he is a lair) very very small bikkies to trash a political career over for sure, but his unlikely to face any sanction or jail time for lying about his corruption under oath, sadly it just standard operating practice in todays political and business climate.

Leaders are usually forced out. So yeah, more likely it was the 'faceless men' in the NSW Liberal party that made him go
