The Liberal Government of Mr Turnbill is refocusing our nation science organisation the CSIRO to be more innovating to market and reduce it's science focus.

I think this is just incredibly bad policy. the CSIRO is a great scientific research organisation and it does that job pretty darn well. The failure to being innovation to market which is a criticism of the CSIRO is rubbish. Simply is not it's job. It's a failure of Australian Business. Sure something needs to be done to link between research and marketable innovation but I really do not think that the CSIRO is were that stuff should happen. By keeping the CSIRO a relatively pure science research body it will be able to effectively focus of it's core activity. Dilution into commercial activity well leas to dropping the ball and losing focus.
