Reject bourgeois parliamentarianism!

Let us use such rotten, bourgeois institutions as a platform from which we may call upon the workers of PoFo to release themselves from the shackles of capitalism, until such time as we are in a position to abolish it and arrest the remnants of the decadent aristocratic and bourgeois filth. Don't boycott Parliament - use it, then abolish it! All power to the Soviets!

Setting up a system of dual power sounds good to me. Eventually, as the revolutionary situation develops, the bourgeois institutions will wither as the proletarian institutions expand and flourish. Then we can move to abolish the rotten parliamentarism of the bourgeoisie and achieve true proletarian power!

Seizure of power is the point of the uprising; its political task will be clarified after the seizure.

It would be a disaster or formalism to wait for the uncertain voting. The people have a right and a duty to decide such questions not by voting but by force; the people have a right and duty in critical moments of a revolution to give directions to their representatives, even their best representatives, and not to wait for them.

The purpose of the party is the educate and guide the masses in revolutionary theory and practice. Parliamentarianism has it's uses under certain conditions, but there is a limit in how much we can use it. If we put parliamentary struggle over revolutionary struggle we may become like those rats in the SLD.

On another note, I think our party needs a symbol. I suggest using something like Angola's cog and machete:

The hammer and sickle symbolised the twin pillars of Soviet power: the urban proletariat and the rural peasantry. Likewise, the cog and machete of Angola symbolises the two main classes upon which socialist power is based, emblemised by their everyday tools of work. But how many PoFoers use a sickle or a machete in their everyday work? We need more appropriate emblems - a circular emblem and a long, straight emblem crossing it - to symbolise the twin classes upon which socialist power in PoFo will be based. Anyone have any ideas?

If this was "real", and PoFo a nation, we would have just gone through 6 months of political chaos and still its not settled.

well if we are to take some advantage out of participating, I suggest a platform like this:

We, as the legal wing of the workers’ movement will push for the following in parliament:

1) bank nationalisation
2) heavy progressive tax
3) abolishment of tax for low incomes, increases of tax on profits (50%?)
4) price freezing or imposing of narrow price boundary (through buffer stock operation, which instead of being sold off can be used for charity) on staple items, namely those with a low price elasticity of demand
5) vast increases on inheritance tax for capital inheritance (70%?)
6) abolition of interest rates on small loans, individual debts, minimisation of rent rates (and possibly abolition in some cases, as well as expropriation in certain cases)
7) democratisation of trade unions, namely via a transfer to a delegate base from the current representative one
8 ) legislation for all employment contract negotiating to go through trade unions with membership as a prerequisite
9) freedom of political activity within unions and workplaces
10) universal and unabridged right to firearms
11) a power division contract between workers' councils and state; we promise to push through in the parliament any demands councils make
12) guarantee of legalisation of factory occupations as "cooperatives", as well as expropriation and handing over to its workers of any enterprise in risk of being plundered by its owner
13) unlimited financial and material support to union, council and "cooperative" organisations as well as entrusting large local budgets to them
14) total disarmament and denuclearisation, replacing of any conscript/contract army with a universal peoples' militia (with specialist forces being handed over to the command of soldiers' councils) and minimal subordination to military elites
15) dissolution of the police force in favour of workers’ militia
16) reservation of at least half of the court jury seats for worker council delegates



-we aim to push for the outlined platform at all times within the parliament; we recognise that the bourgeois state machine will hamper us and will likely stop and sabotage our influence, but we pledge to squeeze the maximum we can through before it does so.

- we agree to form a coalition with the anarchists if they accept at least 3/4 of our platform

- if we are sabotaged we will retreat into the organised masses that we helped by legal means in prior, and will continue forging the alternative power base by other means. We will continue to do so until the state machine is overthrown and replaced by the one and only power source - Worker Councils
