That's an exaggeration fist of all, and secondly I think having this as a consequence, a "penalty" of sorts for the political crisis is pretty reasonable. The nation being a silent backdrop is pretty 1)unrealistic 2)boring

Actually no, extrapolating on the Weimar comparison, a powerful but disorganised uprising with some strong organisation in certain localities, as well as possible brief communes, a la the Bavarian council republic or Paris commune is only an episode responsive to the situation... not a socialist revolution

No, we shouldn't have a Weimar game. In Weimar Germany, controlling the streets was as important as winning elections. The country was full of private armies. And while that would be a fun game, how would we simulate it? I am interested in creating some kind of war game which would be built on top of the parliamentary simulation, but FIRST we need to get the parliamentary game running smoothly so that we all know what's going on AND enjoy it. Then I will have to spend a long time designing the war game as well...

I think maybe such an event in one city could be interesting from a political POV and could be handled within the existing parliament simulation, but let's not get ahead of ourselves either.

I mentioned to Vladimir last week that we could design a war game based on our fictional nation which would allow the paramilitary battles some members seem to want to be able to take place. This could even be a separate game. I think first we need to establish our parliament game and really flesh out everything about the nation, though. And designing the war game will take some work.

As your defense minister, I have to advise your that the military is in sorry shape. The previous regime neglected and mismanaged the armed forces. I advise the use of militia and paramilitaries from Bifrost for the purpose, and perhaps the hiring of mercenaries from overseas.
