Sorry, your proposition is ridiculous. -seizing power and capital- ? totally absurd. Any such transition would result in civil war and the collapse of world markets.

Socialism in the USA has been a slow process. It traces back to FDR and his public works administration. To Farm coops and crop subsidies, To Credit Unions. Obamacare is it's latest victory and just a step in the direction of single payer health care. Socialism will continue at this pace …

FDR was a keynesian not a socialist. Subsidies is box standard keynesianism and literally the opposite of socialism because socialists only confiscate from the private sector they never pay out to the private sector. Coops if they are wholly in the private sector are not socialism either even if some ignorant people think they are, likewise for credit unions, a real socialist would have all of them politically re-educated with a bullet in the back of the head.

Maybe you should learn something about the real world before posting?

I have learned that in the real world there are all kinds of looney tune ideas … like yours. Be thankful that the socialists that surround you don't oblige you with a "re-education."

How exactly are you going to steal other people's private property and make it "public" (ie: government owned) without the state completely intervening and doing the stealing? By force of guns and clubs, as all laws are enforced.

Is that supposed to be a threat? I have already been informed countless times "better red than dead" and "come the revolution you will be first against the wall" and such like. I know what they are about, there will be no surprises what they do if they overcome the legitimate forces of order...

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.

No, an observation. "A fight?" If an agent of change decides to act upon you, it's unlikely you will ever even know of it.

Yeah I say so.

FYI - socialism is an ex-problem in the 21st century. In the last century they were stone cold killers, with body counts into the hundreds of millions, grade A genociders. This century they are fat lazy gender confused kids who can't get a job, get laid or even do a push up. Those are your "agents of change" now. Hence why the remnants are loving up the muslims, muslims are the hard as nails, stone cold killers that they lack in their own ranks. They are hoping to outsource their violence to the jihadis. Some chance! The jihadis will just use 'em and lose 'em.
