Prof. Keynes wrote in 1941 that, [ in my words] international trade has never come to grips with how it works.
This is still true, and IMO, this is because rich people (and nations) want to keep sucking money from the suckers.
. . . I see Germany as doing the sucking and Spain, Italy, Greece, etc. as the suckers. And German made the EU & EZ are they are so that it could do the sucking from the suckers.
