The Soviets did save Poland from teh NAzis. However they then decided to turn Poland into a commie country sympathetic to Soviet Union instead of giving back full sovereignty for Poland. No wonder lots of Poles are not fully sympathetic with Germany and Russia.

Soviet army murdered many Poles, raped Polish women, plundered Poland and led to enslavement of our country till 1989.
In 1939-1941 Soviets were allies of Nazi Reich and during invasion of Poland Soviet and Nazi military engaged together Poles in battles-for example in Lviv, but there were more such places.
