Sweden could loan a fleet of Gripen fighter jets to Switzerland as it awaits delivery of the craft's next generation model, Swiss Defence Minister Ueli Maurer said on Friday.

The Gripen may not be the most impressive aircraft on offer but I think Switzerland made a good choice in its selection, it should be a very economical fighter and it will more than meet the nations requirements.
