First of all: COMMUNISM IS NOT FOR TODAY!
It would be great, if the human race were mature enough for communism, but it is not yet.
For the present the very most of the economy should be privately owned. The question is how much of the GDP should be redistributed by the state.
As far as I can see there are two choices in the US: things keep going on as they go henceforward or some kind of liberal social democracy comes.
