When they say on tape that they were paid indirectly by the Hillary for President campaign to do things--whether it is dressing up like Donald Duck, throwing eggs at female Trump supporters, or punching out male Trump supporters-- that is evidence of taking action against the law. It doesn't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, but the fact that what they described on camera has real world corroborating events provides sufficient grounds for a case to move forward. Subpoena duces tecum allows the plaintiff to compel financial records from bank(s) or from the defendant(s). When money is involved and it's not a cash transaction, there is a good chance that there are records of similar amounts of money moving around these entities. That kind of collaboration is illegal.
Prosthetic Conscience wrote:'Probable cause' my arse. All that shows is that Clinton's campaign was planning to attack Trump (ie paint him in as bad a light as possible). And the reply even says that if they hadn't prepared, it would have been 'half-assed'. This is what campaigns do - look for ways to attack their opponents. That doesn't mean there's "probable cause" to suspect that they made payments to people to make things up.
