Folks should be free to decide it they want to be vaccinated or not. Society should be free to decide if they want unvaccinated folks to live in their midst. I don't want Typhoid Mary going to my kids school.

A poster used smallpox as an example of a vaccination we could not do without. I made a quick reply just to indicate there is another side to an argument that I personally do not want to get into. My purpose was to let posters know there was information out there if they were interested in this side of the debate on a factual basis. You probably remember how technical the last debate on this subject became.

If you have a rare allergy, yes. If you're not allergic and you are high risk of death from flu (like kids and old people) then the vaccination is potentially life saving.

It is so ironic that an anti-vaccine activist is in charge of a vaccine safety campaign. If he said, "vaccines are unsafe", and just copied and pasted text from old research journals, I would not be surprised.
