I think that I finally understand why there is this perverse kind of hysteria politically sweeping over the United States where both political parties seek constant conflict with Russia.

Fox News recently reported that John Podesta received more money from Russians than was originally known, the current figure is US$35 million. It remains legal to work with, talk to and even take money from Russians though, at least if you're a Democrat.

John podesta wasn't a national security advisor and Hillary Clinton isn't president.

The Clintons took monies from Russian banks in the past.

That would be relevant if she had won.

It was relevant at the time when she and her fans were harping on about Trump's connections with Russia.

John McCain was quite right when he said Russia is "basically a gas station masquerading as a country." The best thing to do would be to institute a regime change in Russia, and eventually dismantle it completely and form a series of independent republics and city-states out of its carcass.
