Franken should resign. And he should be executed as a bourgeois enemy of the people.

Of course, it naturally rings hollow when party with a leader chosen by people that champion pedophiles is a an admitted serialmolester that peeps on teenage girlsthat wants to fuck his own daughter and is championing more pedophiles join the government cheer this.

Because it's a singular issue. Bourgeois culture itself needs to be ruthlessly eliminated. The Democrats are trying (and naturally failing) to object to the culture of pedophiles and rape, responding to their base increasingly radicalizing. The Republican base support their party turning to the party of pedophilia to the point that they have tried to drive people out of jobs for objecting to Hollywood protecting pedophiles.

Same is true for other minority groups as well of course.

The political strategy is to reclaim the moral high ground over the Republicans, so they can force Roy Moore out of the Senate and then impeach President Trump.

Men are always going to see women as sexual objects to satisfy their needs. That is just men being men. If some women don't like it, then they can apply for a sex change surgery.

You're a misogynist propagating lies against women and lies about these women in particular as part of a ridiculous attempt to defend a pedophile.

It makes me glad no one on here takes you and your bullshit seriously. At best your a useful stooge for the alt right, at worse an ignorable whiny zealot troll from a bygone age.

That is good to know.

Well, I think after Barack Obama, pretty much anyone with a pulse thinks they can be president. The fact that McCain and Romney lost to Obama illustrates the problem with establishment politicians and their devotion to identity politics and political correctness. Trump blew them all out of the water, and the establishment never thought he had a chance of winning. Now they are perplexed about what to do. Oddly enough, Al Franken had more substantive political experience that Obama had when he ran for the White House.

maz wrote:What happens if Roy Moore wins and Al Franken has to step down?

That seems likely. Franken announced today he will resign in a few days, and took a swipe at Trump and Moore as a sort of parting shot. The Democrats seem to be doubling down on their failed strategy. As their political adversary, I'm sort of delighted. I do find it puzzling though, as they are reliably such venal people.

Women in the Senate also defended Bill Clinton. Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Blanche Lincoln, Barbara Mikulski, and Patty Murray all voted "Not Guilty" on Clinton's impeachment. Paul Wellstone, who Al Franken mentioned today, also voted against the impeachment of Bill Clinton. Who else voted "Not Guilty" on the Republican side? Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe--two of only three Republican women senators--both sided with Clinton. Kay Bailey Hutchison voted "Guilty." John Chafee, Slade Gordon, Jim Jeffords, Richard Shelby, Arlen Specter, Ted Stevens, Fred Thompson and John Warner also voted "Not Guilty."

The problem is that the Democrats have a pretty shabby history. Ted Kennedy was allowed to keep his seat after killing Mary Jo Kopechne. Al Franken never did anything remotely as bad as either Kennedy or Clinton.

Says a guy who voted for Hillary Clinton?

A gay guy accusing a straight guy of misogyny is a custard rich irony.

We have plenty of non-scientists (even science-deniers) on science committees and plenty of ex-CEOs managing worker health committees...

He will probably be replaced with a republican and then the women will have what they really want. This is very much like high school. The cool girls complain there are no good guys then fuck the bad boys.

The *edit* governor gets to appoint a replacement for Franken ahead of the general election.

The people who are now saying #MeToo is a feminist power grab are turning out to have been proven correct.

We have the former president of the United States running around giving speeches about how more women need to be elected because of groping and whatever.

But the video below is what happens when you put too many women in charge. This are likely to just go clown world. Just happened in one city in Minnesota.

Then there was that incident where the goofball mayor of Minnesota praised a Somali police officer who ended up killing a white woman. And now the media is celebrating a Somali woman who they think will be running for the senate seat.

Meet The Women Who Could Replace Al Franken

Multiple outlets, including the Minneapolis Star Tribune and Minnesota Public Radio, are reporting that Lt. Gov. Tina Smith is the most likely candidate for the immediate opening. The reasoning might sound counterintuitive: People say Smith doesn't actually want the role (in the long term, that is). But naming Smith to the seat would allow the governor to quickly appoint a qualified and reliable ally to the role for the next 10-plus months, setting the stage for voters to select a new U.S. Senator next November. There's one major drawback to a Smith pick for Minnesota liberals, though: Under the state succession rules, her post would be filled by the president of the state Senate, who happens to be a Republican, a move that could give the GOP control of both houses of the state Legislature and the state's No. 2 elected post.

Smith, 59, is a longtime player on the Minnesota political scene. Before joining the ticket as lieutenant governor in 2014, she was Dayton's chief of staff and a top aide to Minneapolis Mayor RT Ryback. A staunch advocate for reproductive rights, Smith also served as a vice president for public affairs at Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota in the mid-2000s. Her high-profile and hands-on role in the current administration generated lots of buzz that she would run to replace Dayton when he retires in 2018, but Smith put a stop to those rumors in March when she announced that she wouldn't seek the seat.

Smith isn't the only potential appointee in the running, of course. A powerful national nurses union is urging the governor to tapping Rep. Keith Ellison. And insiders see a number of other women as strong candidates for the appointment, including state Reps. Erin Murphy and Peggy Flanagan, both of whom have been traveling the state for 2018 statewide office runs, Auditor Rebecca Otto, another current gubernatorial candidate, and Attorney General Lori Swanson.

“There’s a deep bench and that’s the good news," Johnson said. "There are many great women who could step into the role."

Another possibility is state Rep. Ilhan Omar. Omar, a refugee and rising political star, became the first Somali-American woman elected to a state Legislature when she won her seat last year (you can watch Refinery29's "Behind the Headlines" documentary on Omar here).

Not to argue with you, but Franken did not admit to anything, if you watch the speech. He denied most allegations as fabrications. And about others, he said they happened differently as to his recollection, but he still resigned.

Trump on the other hand, took the responsibility and said he had changed and evolved into a better human being. Yet still continued with his campaign and now sits in the Oval Office.

Life is weird.

Right. He didn't really admit to anything. One of his accusers at least is quite pissed off about it. Why deny it and resign? At any rate, he hasn't resigned yet. He says it will come in a few weeks, so I'm sure the Democrats are going to put on a show if Roy Moore wins.

Everybody is hip to the October Surprise deal now. So people just don't believe it. If you have charges like that, you make them in a timely manner. Withholding charges for decades and revealing them a month before an election in which a person has been 8 times elected to public office looks like typical deep state tricks.

Trump did more than just apologize for locker room talk. He also held a press conference with many of Bill Clinton's accusers and invited them to the presidential debate as his guests.

It reminds me of Harry Reid admitting to lying about Mitt Romney on the Senate floor. All he had to say about it was, "Romney didn't win, did he?"
