More than natives than the Arabs who came mostly from Syria.

There was also a old Spheradi (Spaniard) Jewish community who return to their ancient homeland after 1492 Spanish expulsion

Among numerous testimonies, we can quote Canon Antoine Morison, from Bar-le-Duc in France. During his travels in the Levant in 1698, he noted that the ancient Land of the Bible could not be conceived from the actual desolated state of "Judea in particular, or Palestine in general." He commented that the Jews in Jerusalem are "there in misery and under the most cruel and shameful slavery," and although a large community, they lived under regular extortion. He observed that descendants of Moors who had been expelled from Spain were numerous in the Holy Land.24

About the Taqqyia propagandists harping about "ethnic cleansing" and "can't return home". Million Jews were explled or fled after 1948 war, far greater than the Arabs from Palestine, not to mention the millions who fled after India Pakistan partition. You don't hear them whining about returning there.

THE STRANGE DEATH OF EUROPE Immigration, Identity, Islam
DOUGLAS MURRAY

Israel

A final country also widely ‘blamed’ on the Europeans and so often regarded as having the same ‘original sin’ is the state of Israel. Since its founding in 1948, its founding ‘sin’ has only grown louder. Never mind that the creation of Pakistan, within the same year as the creation of Israel, brought forth unimaginable massacres and necessitated the forced movement of millions of people, the movement – and occasional expulsions – of thousands of Palestinians in order to create the State of Israel in 1948 has become the ‘original sin’ of the world’s only Jewish state. As the years passed, an Arabic term was popularised for this: nakba, or ‘catastrophe’. Very few states have ever been created without the movements of people. Many created in the twentieth century (Bangladesh, for instance) witnessed movements of people and bloodshed far exceeding anything seen in every succeeding decade combined since the creation of Israel. But today it is Israel that is continuously alleged to have been born into this ‘original sin’. The citizens of Pakistan or Bangladesh may blame things on the British, but they themselves would never be expected to feel guilt as all Europeans and their descendants are.

Of course, in the case of Israel (the state being comparatively new) the most extreme suggestions for how to remedy this situation can seem more plausible. Whereas few people seriously call for everyone of European descent to be expelled from the Americas, it is not unusual (indeed it is policy in many Middle Eastern countries) for there to be calls for the descendants of Europeans to be expelled from Israel and for the land to be ‘returned’ to the sole ownership of the Arab tribes who originally lived there (and in many cases live there still).

And although Middle Eastern history is perhaps even more than most a history of tribes and people usurping and replacing each other without recourse to any court of historical inquiry to make amends, when it comes to the Palestinian ‘indigenous people’ there is alleged to be an answer. And that is because the cause of the victimhood can be traced back to the Europeans. As anybody who has travelled in the region will know, the most benevolent view in the region of how the State of Israel came about is that the Europeans did something wrong in the Holocaust and now the Arabs are having to pay for it.

Australia, America and Israel are three very different countries on three wholly different continents all united by Europe. The settlers in America came from Europe. The settlers in Australia came from Europe. And although half the population of Israel are Jews who had to flee Arab lands, the Jews of Israel are widely believed to come solely from Europe. So it is not persecution-mania but simple observation for Europeans to fear that the uniting ‘evil’ in all of these cases, among many others, is not just people in history who did bad things, but Europeans who did bad things. And who – considering a people who did so many bad things and on such a scale – could not suspect that they were in fact simply bad people?

Arafat family from Egypt, Edward Said as well. Their roots are probably from Syria as well. Leila Khald the 70's female terrorist family is from Lebanon.

*"30,000-36,000 SYRIANS migrated to Palestine in recent months" (Syrian daily, La Syrie, Aug. 12, 1934).

Stephen Olin, D.D., L.L.D., called one of the most noted of American theologians after his extensive travels in the Middle East wrote of the Arabs in Palestine “…with slight exceptions they are probably all descendants of the old inhabitants of Syria.”

During the British Mandate, even well into the 1940s, Arabs were allowed into “Palestine” in huge numbers without visa or passport, especially from the Hauran District of Syria, while the British continued to do everything possible to prevent Jews from entering, even down to the last minute when all attempts were made to deny entry to thousands of Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis.

The small community of Palestinian Arabs do not have longevity in their stay in Palestine. It was as a result of the British limiting Jewish immigration while encouraging Arab immigration that they developed a larger community.

From the start the Palistinan nationality comes as reaction to the Zionist project. At the begining, they use to fight to keep British-mandate of Palestine as Arab land, Dar al-Islam, preferably as a province of "Southern Syria", Suriyya al-Janubiyya.

The Palestinian Arabs Include Waves of Arab Immigrants

Indeed, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt concluded in 1939 that "Arab immigration into Palestine since 1921 has vastly exceeded the total Jewish immigration during the whole period."

In Roosevelt's vision, the Arabs must be moved out of Palestine, whether they liked it or not; whether with 'baksheesh' or resettlement funds. Roosevelt suggested that the problem of the Arabs could be "settled with a little baksheesh."

On 13 March 1939, a meeting took place between Brandeis, Goldman, Frankfurter, Wise and Ben Cohen. At this meeting Brandeis showed them a letter he had received from Roosevelt. As far as Goldman recalls this letter, it included the suggestion that certainly those of the 400,000 Arabs who have entered Palestine since the Balfour Declaration are not entitled to the same consideration as the Jews. Made the suggestion that perhaps a transfer of these Arabs to Iraq could be considered.

All the evidence points to the neighboring Arab states of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. In 1922 the British Governor of the Sinai noted that "illegal immigration was not only going on from the Sinai, but also from Transjordan and Syria."

In 1930 the British Mandate sponsored Hope-Simpson Report noted that "unemployment lists are being swollen by immigrants from Trans-Jordania" and "illicit immigration through Syria and across the northern frontier of Palestine is material". Indeed the Arabs themselves bare witness to this trend. For example, the governor of the [b]Syrian district of Hauran, Tewfik Bey el Hurani, admitted in 1934 that in a single period of only a few months over 30 000 Syrians from Hauran had moved to Palestine. Even British Prime Minister Winston Churchill noted the Arab influx. Churchill, a veteran of the early years of the British mandate in the Land of Israel, noted in 1939 that "far from being persecuted the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied."

Geographers had long concluded that it was improbable "that any but a small part of the present Arab population of Palestine is descended from the ancient inhabitants of the land"; indeed, according to their analysis, Palestine was "peopled by the drifting populations of Arabia, and to some extent by the backwash of its harbors." Additionally, the Ottomans settled Muslim populations as a buffer against Bedouin attacks; Ibrahim Pasha, the Egyptian ruler, brought Egyptian colonists with his army in the 1830s. It is noteworthy that the common Palestinian name al-Masri, used by a clan in Nablus, literally means "the Egyptian."

The Forgotten Exodus

From the years from 1890 to 1945 about 500,000 Egyptian, Syrian, Iraqi and Eastern Palestine [Jordan] Arabs settled into West Palestine, later in 1939 Winston Churchill said "So far from being persecuted, the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied till their population has increased more than even all world Jewry could lift up the Jewish population."

The British Peace Handbook No. 60, published in 1918, declared that “the people west of the Jordan are not Arabs, but only Arab speaking... In the Gaza district they are mostly of Egyptian origin; elsewhere they are of the most mixed race...they (the Arabs of Palestine) have little if any national sentiment...

*The origin of most Palestinian refugees was from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Algeria and Libya, migrating during 1830-1947. The Arab population of Jaffa, Haifa and Ramleh grew 17, 12 and 5 times during 1880-1947.

Your entire argument is based on population growth in the 19th-20th century in Palestine, happening in a period where the entire world was witnessing the same levels of population growth due to the industrial revolution and major advancements in medicine.
The same population growth level was happening all across the middle east with minor exceptions in the Arabian peninsula.

For whoever you said their roots are from Lebanon, the only ones who's roots are from Lebanon are descendants of Al-noun tribes; those do not and did not exist in Palestine.
Some people moving between different cities across the region does not mean that Palestine was somehow empty and all the Palestinians came from Syria. This argument is at best, stupid.

You can't be serious that you think the people of Israel do not have the right to determine their own capital. It is not other countries business to criticize such things. They don't do it for other countries, Israel should be no exception.

The people of Israel don't have that "right" because it violates international laws.

You are mistaken. This is not the only political forum. So your problem with Israel is simply contrary to your political beliefs and that is the reason for your obsession?

There is no international law against Jerusalem being designated as the capital of Israel.

On the right, the Pallywood activist, Ahed Tamimi
On the left, the Lebanese born, White House correspondent, Helen Thomas. There is no the slightest doubt from where this "indigenous" Palestinian family came from. Till, the French Mandate, the territory called today, "Lebanon", was called then Syria.

When Tamimi junior will grow old she will look like Helen Thomas

In the 30's the American president, Roosevelt, knew that the Arab immigration into British Mandate of Palestine (designated to become Jewish National Home) will become problem, but then WW2 started and no one could do anything about it. On those years the Arabs in Palestine origin was well known, it was heard in Royal investigation committee, including by Arab spokesmen. But then with the rise of the "Palestinian" cause in the late 60's early 70's all the history was forgotten in exchange of Pallywood mythology. There us no doubt that the Tamimi jihadi family believe in this lies. It's part of the Palestinian curriculum from there it spread to the entire world, mainly by Islamic fans

Just so much crap. There was no massive Arab immigration during the mandate period. We have the births and deaths figures recorded by the British and reported to the league of Nations each year, it simply refutes the idea.

This has been refuted by anyone who has looked at the actual data.

Its just propaganda and lies.

The "territory" called "Lebanon" was called that name ,Lebanon, by the Phoenicians 4000 years ago, and Syria is the Arabic name of the Levant which was inherited from the Assyrian name of the region.
Lebanon is inside that region. You know, just like there can be multiple countries or areas in a region everywhere else. For example the Khorasan wider region includes the entirety of 5 provinces of Iran each with its own government, then along side that most of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and a good portion of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. And its one region. Even though historically, many of the names of those provinces and countries have been just the same as they are now.
The wider Maghreb region has many nations and states inside of it that has held its name for centuries if not millenniums, and yet still held it within the wider region of the Maghreb.

And again, population growth doesn't require migration. This propaganda has been debunked dozens of times on PoFo alone.

And for the whole "they're blonde so must be migrant" stuff.
Again, These features exist all across Palestine, Lebanon, The Syrian coast and infact well into Turkey. Because those areas are where firstly, A little thing called the Crusader kingdoms were and in which Europeans and natives mixed with each other. And second, and this one might be hard to notice in history books apparently, a cute tiny little thing called the Greco-Roman empires happened and apparently, another weird thing, people back then also had sex and children and between races and nationalities; Who could have thought such thing could happen right ? :| :knife:

Hope the author is right and we are in turning point of history. The Palestinian mythology born with the PLO in 1964 and it has nothing to do with empirical history. For years no serious man in the West took it seriously (beside the neo Nazis), but the Oil Embargo in 1973 changed everything. The MSM has likewise played its own part in the establishment of this ascendancy. Making this cause a world obsession.

The speech in which Abbas dug his own grave

While wishing the POTUS' "house be destroyed" in traditional Arab fashion, Abbas may have destroyed his own house, the Palestinian Arab one built of cards.

Dr. Mordechai Kedar, 15/01/18 10:10

Mahmoud Abbas, chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization, has delivered a speech triggered by his rage at the President of the United States Donald Trump, going so far as to hurl the most bitter curse in the Arabic language at the POTUS: "May your house be destroyed."

This imprecation does not merely relate to someone's present home, but to all the members of his family being thrown into the street to lead lives of destitution, humiliation and shame. Only someone familiar with Middle Eastern culture understands the real significance of this curse.

The question that naturally rises is what happened that brought Abbas to the point where he is willing to burn his bridges with the US President and deliver a speech whose import is the severing of relations with the country which serves as chief funder of UNRWA, also pushing the US president towards a negative stand on the "Palestinian Issue."

"Jerusalem, Capital of Palestine," is an idea created after the Six Day War and further developed after the Oslo Accords were signed in September 1993. Arafat turned it into a mantra, while official Israel – Shmon Peres, Yossi Beilin, Alon Liel and their cohorts – did nothing to stop him. They told us that the expression is meant for a Palestinian Arab audience, i.e. for "internal use" only. "Millions of shahids are on the march to Jerusalem!!" Arafat shouted day and night, but they told us to ignore it, that these were empty words, merely a pipe dream.

The world, led by Europe, went along with this Palestinian house of cards, financing it with billions of dollars over the years in the hopes of turning it into a real concrete structure, simply ignoring reality. Europe supported the establishment of a "Palestinian peace-loving state alongside Israel" while forgetting the fact that the PLO ideology calls for destroying the Jewish State and that its logo includes the map of that "Palestine" reaching from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River.

The world perpetuated the "Palestinian refugee problem" despite the fact that not one refugee remains of all the others who existed in the 1940s. Even Germany, which absorbed and rehabilitated the Sudetenland residents expelled from Czechoslovakia, did not demand that the Arab world do the same and absorb the "Palestinian refugees," whose problem was created as a result of the Arab armies' invasion of Israel one day after the Jewish State declared its independence. Europe saw Germany as the party responsible for the Sudeten refugee problem and its solution, but did not do the same for the Arab states and the Palestinian refugees. That double standard is what perpetuated the Palestinian Arab refugee problem, turning it into a central bargaining chip in negotiations between Israel and its neighbors, reaching the point where Ehud Barak agreed (in the Taba talks of 2001) to a "symbolic return" of tens of thousands of those refugees – and he was not the only one to agree to this idea.

The world did not recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and allowed Jerusalem to turn into another major bargaining chip in the "Peace talks" whose only purpose – at least according to t he Arab side – was to weaken and shrink the State of Israel and bring it to a state of collapse that would make the Jews lose hope and leave the region for the countries they had lived in before they came to rebuild their ancient homeland.

Trump and the House of Cards

Enter Donald Trump, a businessman who deals with construction – not houses built of cards, but the kind meant to last for generations. He understood that the Palestinian structure is made of cards, left standing only because of the world's going along with European leadership, American liberal circles, the Arab states and a few Israelis suffering from burn-out. Trump understood that the Palestinian ideological structure is full of holes and decided to pull two foundational cards out of the ephemeral structure: the Jerusalem card and the refugee card.

From the minute Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital the Palestinians – both Hamas and the PLO – began engaging in frenzied activities, disturbances on the ground and political maneuvering in international corridors. They understood that Jerusalem as Israel's capital is an insurance policy of sorts for the Jewish statee. To the Jews, Jerusalem is real, backed up by history and the Jewish religion, while it is nothing but "fake news" for the Arab and Muslim world.

Jerusalem, however, is still not the capital of a non-established "Palestine" and remains a theoretical bone of contention, so that it could be pulled out of the Palestinian house of cards without Abbas burning his bridges with the United States.

And then Trump pulled the refugee card from the house of cards by announcing that he would cease to fund, support and perpetuate it. That act is a thousand times worse than recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital, because the refugee issue has been capitalized on for seventy years, with billions of dollars poured into it, all going to waste. UNRWA operates a massive system of wage-earners, schools and aid services running on American money, whose cessation is sure to limit the organizations' ability to breathe life into the "refugee problem" . Without adequate funding, the "refugees" are liable to spread out and be absorbed in the areas to which they move on, within the Arab world and outside it. The "refugee problem" and its threat to Israel might even disappear.

Abbas cannot let that happen for several reasons: First, he himself is a refugee born in Safed in 1935 and his own legitimacy as a Palestinian leader is based on that fact. Second, the refugees have become addicted to living on foreign aid and taking it away will force them to work like everyone else. Third, every refugee whose funding has ceased will decide to solve his problem independently: Some will emigrate to other countries, others will be absorbed in their current locations, and the refugee problem will disappear after all those decades spent keeping it alive with massive amounts of European and American money.

Abbas understands that his house of cards, lacking Jerusalem and refugees, is about to collapse and disappear and with it all the plans to destroy Israel. The feeling that he has lost his compass is what made him lose his temper and abandon the discretion that has always characterized his behavior, leading him to return to the depths of Arabic culture with an imprecation aimed at Trump –"May your house be destroyed."

He used the worst of Arab curses, expressing the wish that Trump's home be destroyed, his family thrown out into the street and that he and they live in poverty and shame, turning into homeless objects of pity to passersby. There is no more fitting expression for Abbas' despair and disappointment as he witnesses the collapse of the Palestinian Arab house of cards once Trump removed its Jerusalem and refugee foundations.

The speech Abbas delivered to the PLO members was a powerful reflection of his feelings. He sees the Palestinian project as facing an existential threat, with a strong and steadfast Israel , flourishing and successful, democratic and economically sound facing a culturally, ideologically, personally and politically divided Palestinian side in which the PLO-Hamas enmity stymies any hope of political progress. He belongs to a society broken into tribes, extended families and groups which never really adopted the idea of a Palestinian national ethos and never abandoned traditional family loyalties. That ideological house of cards cannot survive without the Jerusalem and refugee cards.

Abbas also does not have the Arab world standing behind him. Quite the contrary, the Iranian issue has pushed many Arab states closer to Israel and since the Arab nations are mired in a plethora of their own internal problems, the Palestinian problem is now seen by them as nothing more than a nuisance. Abbas' speech this week, one in which he dug his own grave, symbolized the collapse, death and burial of the "Palestinian issue" and this is the time to find an out-of-the-box solution for it – on the lines of the "Emriate Solution," the only socio-political model that works successfully in the Middle East.
