I suggested people should read media showing the other sides views. You are arguing that is not necessary because your preferred media reports everything important and reports it accurately.
It was stupid of me to argue with someone who is capable of believing such a thing.

No, you were arguing that one side shows things that the other doesn't and that the Liberal media wasn't showing the same things. If that's not what you were saying, it was certainly coming across as that. You always scream "fake news" whenever someone posts something you don't like.

You are making another ‘distinction without a difference’. Not reporting the same things is just one method of slanting the news. Instead of arguing, why not try reading both sides for awhile and see if you change your mind?

If you mean the MSM, I watch them too. They are not bad on most news until it becomes political. That is when their progressive Democrat bias against conservative Republicans rears its ugly head with their incomplete, misleading, and fake political news.

So you make two points. Both wrong.

First, according to the ratings, the most main-stream media there is, is Fox News.

Second you say this:

"......conservative Republicans"

Fox News does not support conservative republicans. It serves corporate oligarchs. There are few classically conservative republicans anymore and Trump, McConnell and Grassley are not among them. The big-spending, big government, protectionist corporatists Like the aforementioned and Trump are anything but conservative.

Do try to read what conservatism really is before you label yourself one.

Yes it was stupid of you. Because Godstud is correct. In fact, from his neutral home he has access to far more objective sources of news and opinion than we do. That is unless we deliberately go looking for it.

Let me give you and example. My wife and I voraciously read The Economist. If you google it you will see that it is described as having a liberal tilt. That is unless you see what that liberal tilt really is. It is owned by the Rothschild and Agnelli families; two of the worlds most wealthy dynastic families. If you do not understand the economics of Hume and Smith you will not understand what economic liberals are. You would also have to understand what "liberal" and "conservative" mean to an educated, 1/2 international audience.

So you may call The Economist "liberal" but wait....The New Republic, an American liberal publication calls The Economist "Readers Digest for America's corporate elite. The guardian accuses them of touting what they call the "three card trick of privatisation, deregulation and liberalisation". But wait. Aren't at least two of those bedrock conservative values?

Anyway. Whenever I hear this bullshit defense of Fox News characterizing it as objective and those who reject it as unread, I simply consider the source. People who defend Fox News' openly biased reporting do not understand that it, and MSNBC its arch rival, hearken back to the days of newspaper when each city had the republican and democrat papers.

I would maintain this though. Any American who does not get a very substantial portion of his/her news from overseas sources is woefully uninformed. Even on American political subjects.

@Drlee
Your response was pretty much deflection gone berserk.
Do you agree we should read media reflecting both political sides? That was the only issue. It is simple and does not require all your tangents be examined.

I call myself a moderate conservative and any of the Republicans I know of are closer to my brand of conservatism than any of the Democrats today, with the possible exception of Joe Manchin of West Virginia. Praise the Lord.

And your shallow response shows that my post went right over your head.

Finfinder wrote:One point that needs clarification is Fox news is a cable television show, they do have a nightly national news cast like ABC, NBC, and CBS, which does not require a cable signal.

Where I live the nightly news comes on ABC-6, CBS-12, NBC-26, and FOX-54. But I get FOX News and FOX Business News on DIRECTV 360 and 359. CNN is on 202 and MSNBC is on 356 for DIRECTV.

I would guesstimate that at least half of the Trump supporters on this forum are foreigners who have never set foot in America so I find it funny that the foreign American nationalists are crawling up Godstud's ass for not living in North America currently when he actually did live in North America.

We should do a head count at some point but I'd say it was more disproportionate during the election.

Also it's not like you need to live in America to know Trump is an idiot. You just need to understand English and hear him talk. Like even American Trump supporters will never actually defend the president with his own words, this is pretty fucking obvious.

I defend President Trump because he thinks and talks in terms that most patriotic conservative Americans that I know understand and who also want America to be great again and not to be a welfare socialist state like many other countries in the world. We understand that we can only lead if we are strong and leading from the front instead of Obama's lead from behind style of kissing ass. This also requires getting a majority constitutional conservatives on our Supreme Court that will not change or make laws from the bench, but instead leave that up to the Congress and the President.

Hindsite we know you're trolling, but I'll use your post as an excuse to go off again:

Trump's pitch for leading America was: "Everyone is making deals behind our backs and laughing at us."

Then he went to the UN and got laughed at, and now people are actually doing deals behind our backs because an incompetent moron with a white man's weave is in charge.

I was amused with today's news coverage. As doubtlessly everyone knows, medical and recreational pot is now legal in Canada. The governor of Oregon is right choked that they can't trade with us and Fears Canadian pot will dominate, leaving them out of the market because Trump won't decriminalization it.
