Beren wrote:How is porn a substitute for the real thing? The point actually is that it's not real, and you still can enjoy watching porn even if you have the real thing too. It's like saying prostitution is only for men who don't have a partner. No, it isn't. :p

I think you will find that the difference is that it's not, as you say, 'real', so it is a mere 'substitute' for the real thing.

I haven't said that you cannot 'enjoy' watching porn, whatever turns you on I guess, other people may dislike it, whatever turns you 'off' I suppose. 8)

So you dislike porn and insist it's a substitute for real sex while pretending to be sarcastic and cool? :?:

No, I said it is a 'substitute' for real sex, no hint of 'sarcasm' involved, or intended. :|

Actually, if you watch pron you will have the images weaponized against you by demons and it darkens your mind. Moreover, you are witnessing someone else in a shameful state which, if they are lucky, they will one day regret and feel humiliated by, and if they are unlucky, will never have the privilege of repenting for it.

There is no one who is a Christian who can seriously suggest it is acceptable or normal to do this.

For those that believe the world is composed of matter alone, and not spirit, perhaps it is more difficult to understand these things, and they are rejected outright.

But I do not type this for these people alone, and do not feel the need to account for their arguments in this particular post. We can debate the existence of the soul in many other places.

I am sure that your idea of Christian differs from others. You're very judgmental. I am sure Christianity promotes judgement... :D No wait... it doesn't.

Aw, but you see, we need to save people from their poor choices. Of course, we cannot do this taking away their God-given freedom, but we ought to argue passionately against them leading a morally impure life.

All people are invited to come to the Church and to be healed.

No one should be judged by anyone but God. We cannot do that.

I think that one of the only consistent moves against Christians these days is often this accusation that we are being judgmental.

When you, a self-professed Christian, call something a sin, you are making a judgement. Pretending otherwise is being dishonest with yourself, and others.

To some people, religion is a "poor choice".

Nice trap, Agent Steel!

When it comes to you, PERSONALLY, I do not care that YOU, PERSONALLY, by yourself, by your lonesome, as the adult man you are in the privacy of your home, in your free Republic, are doing this.

I accept your agency and your own opinions on it, and I accept that you will use your computer to have a tug in between posts, and you think that it's a "VERY HEALTHY THING" with "ABSOLUTELY NO DOWNSIDES."

I accept all of those things as realities and I would not presume to take away your agency as an adult man to be able to access smut, and to talk about how you think what you are dong is VERY HEALTHY.

But I think it isn't healthy or good for people, in general, to do, but I understand people will do it, just like how people will eat junkj food & never exercise, or how people will get their news from viral articles on Facebook and never read a book.

Sure, whatever.

No one in this debate cares to remark about you (or any other person ) specifically.

Pornism is idleness and in a man it is a lack of masculinity.

If a man is using porns it means they are going downhill and need to change their direction.

Every time someone watches porn they will experience spiritual degradation and a negation of the human person. You keep doing this and you will be lost and have serious problems. The fact that someone is even watching porn in the first place is a sign not all is right and they need to look at themselves.

We do not need this piss. Look, in life there is romance and that's it. Porns are just a certified classic bullshit. We do not need these bullshits in our lives.

Your opinion, as this is all it is, is duly noted. I disagree with you. I don't think it's bad unless this seeks to supplant or replace the real thing.

It doesn't have fuck-all to do with your masculinity. What you do defines that.
