@SolarCross

Yes, and note how he talks about them going back where they came from, which is racist, and also incorrect since they mostly come from the USA.

Are you claiming that he is making an intelligent international comparison between two countries and is simply too stupid to realise both countries are the USA?

@BigSteve has no argument, just insults. As usual.

He never said they should "go back to where they came from". Period. He never said it, and your insistence on saying he did makes you and your silly little argument completely dismissable...

When an argument is warranted, I shall offer one.

If you don't want to be insulted, don't post stupid things...

Back to the topic:

As of yet, no one has been able to out together an argument as to how this is not racist.

Would you guys like to try again?

What you're failing to wrap your head around is that there's no need to show how it's not racist, because you've failed to show how it is...
#15020409
Actually, we did.

I myself posted two articles that you ignored.

Since you guys either ignored our arguments or were unable to refute ours, it makes sense to see if the counter argument could be made.

Since you guys are not making the counter argument, perhaps it is because there is none.

Does it get any more ridiculous?

As I said earlier: Trump juxtaposes these women with the people of the United States and the nation as if they are separate alien entities.

Full Quote:

Trump wrote:So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly ...and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how ....it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

Aside from the fact that Trump considers these women as separate from the United Stated "nation", he is explicitly saying that these women cannot be telling the US how it is to be run due to their origins. Their jobs as Congresswomen however is to do exactly that. And their rights as either citizens or as congresswomen should not be infringed due to their origins.

As per the definition of racism:

UNHCHR wrote:Adopted and opened for signature and ratification by General Assembly resolution 2106 (XX) of 21 December 1965
entry into force 4 January 1969, in accordance with Article 19
The States Parties to this Convention....

Resolved to adopt all necessary measures for speedily eliminating racial discrimination in all its forms and manifestations, and to prevent and combat racist doctrines and practices in order to promote understanding between races and to build an international community free from all forms of racial segregation and racial discrimination,

Bearing in mind the Convention concerning Discrimination in respect of Employment and Occupation adopted by the International Labour Organisation in 1958, and the Convention against Discrimination in Education adopted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 1960,

Desiring to implement the principles embodied in the United Nations Declaration on the Elimination of Al l Forms of Racial Discrimination and to secure the earliest adoption of practical measures to that end,

Have agreed as follows:

PART I

Article 1

1. In this Convention, the term "racial discrimination" shall mean any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life.

Somalia, in certain respects, does better than the USA.

For example, it invades a lot less countries. It creates less refugees.

Ms. Omar was the one who called out the war criminal who was (is?) still working for the US government, correct? If so, she is doing a better job where she is.

Somalia creates lots of "refugees". Ilhan is one of them.

Oh yes, in my comparison between the USA and Somalia, I was assuming that Somalia is responsible for all 2 million Somali refugees (even though that is not necessarily correct), but even that number pales in comparison to the 21 million who have been displaced by US foreign policy in the last few years.

I was hoping you would point that out so we could see that the US creates even more refugees than one of the most unstable developing countries in the world.

Thanks.

21 million (probably exaggerated) out of 7 billion globally vs 2 million out of 14 million Somalia pop. So a tiny fraction of 0.1 % vs 1 in 7. Do you even math, bro?
#15020448
I have no idea why decided to divide by the population.

And if you are going to, you would have to divide the US number not by the global population, but by the total population of the affected countries.

To simplify things, you could use the combined populations of Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Pakistan.

Let me know when you are done with the math and with the reason why we are using per capita instead of absolute numbers. Thanks.

Ilhan Omar herself has demonstrated her belief that the American culture is superior to Somali or else why did she migrate? She voted with her feet. She is literally a racist by that standard.

Because she was 7 years old and her mommy made her? Just a guess. What do you think?

Sometimes I am ashamed to admit I am a conservative. I take solace in the fact that very few of the morons who claim to be conservative actually have a clue about what it means. Or the intelligence to read the stuff necessary to understand for that matter.

Prosthetic Conscience wrote:That's why all observers (eg UK Tory politicians) know it's racially based.

Yeah, while they were debating what nasty things to say to Donald Trump to take attention away from their obvious participation in failed coup against Trump, the Iranians hijacked one of their oil tankers and the UK can't do a fucking thing about it. The UK used to run 1/4 of the world. Now they put Tommy Robinson in prison while sitting around with their dicks in their hands while Iran makes them look utterly ridiculous. What a pathetic country the UK has become. Teresa May is truly awful. Hopefully, BoJo will do better, but he's into the PC bullshit too, which is a big part of why the UK is such a basket case of a country these days.

Prosthetic Conscience wrote:He's your hero; why not admit the truth, that you love a racist, and won't reject him whatever he does?

If you think Trump's supporters are racists, why don't you try a little more reverse psychology and call him a black lover for his relationship with Kanye West, MLK III, Don King, Mike Tyson, etc. and a Jew lover for his daughter converting to Judaism to try to make him unpalatable to his ostensibly racist base? Is it because deep down you don't think Trump's supporters are really racist?

SolarCross wrote:That says it all, he is all about optimism for the future.

Yes. It's hard to appeal to people when you are constantly angry. Hillary Clinton found that out.

Pants-of-dog wrote:Would you guys like to try again?

Ibid. Ignoring me doesn't make my point go away. Trump highlighted progressive political views and Congresswomen. He did not highlight race. There are many women of color in Congress that Trump clearly didn't criticize. So if it was about race, he wouldn't have qualified his statement. Instead, he just trolled you guys and you fell for it and can't admit he got the better of you.

Pants-of-dog wrote:Oh yes, in my comparison between the USA and Somalia, I was assuming that Somalia is responsible for all 2 million Somali refugees (even though that is not necessarily correct), but even that number pales in comparison to the 21 million who have been displaced by US foreign policy in the last few years.

You mean the crisis created by Barack Obama in Syria?

blackjack21 wrote:their obvious participation in failed coup against Trump

WTF? Oh boy, now we have an entire new conspiracy - that UK Tories took part in a failed coup against Trump. This one should run and run. After all, there's been no sign of a coup against Trump at all. So blackjack will have endless fun not only making up shit about the coup, but also about how it was covered up. And then how there was international participation by the politicians who, in the west outside the USA, are the most likely to give Trump the benefit of the doubt and try and work with him. But the moment they tell him he's gone to far, Trump's hypnotised supporters turn on them. This reinforces my point: why not just admit he's a racist, and you love him for everything that he is, including being a racist? Trump is your messiah, and his racism is a feature of that, not a flaw.

"Now they put Tommy Robinson in prison" - well, yeah, his ego made him endanger serious court cases, which might have had to be abandoned because his self-promoting videos were at risk of prejudicing juries. Robinson doesn't care about the basics of British law, like a fair trial with a open-minded jury, and he'd done that shit before, so he was punished. What's amazing, and annoying, is the foreigners who cheer him on for screwing with the English justice system. He'll be fine in prison - he's used to it, with the convictions for violence, mortgage fraud, and passport fraud (he entered the USA illegally).

This is a noble and courageous statement by Trump. The idea that it is racist is absurd. Were people being racist when they said get back to Russia during the Cold War? No of course not. They were saying you Communists have trashed enough enough countries already, go and live in one of your socialist paradises, stop trying to destroy our freedom and prosperity. Its exactly the same with these Muslims and their Islamophile cheer leaders.

If you can't tell the difference between America and Al Qaeda, then as far as I'm concerned you're not welcome in my country. No this is not racist, please take all your White converts with you when you leave.

America has done so many great things for its citizens and for the world. Without America and Europe, we wouldn't have this forum, we wouldn't have an internet, we wouldn't have industry, modern medicine and a host of other things. What has Islam given us? Even Arab numerals were actually developed by south Asian pagans. Again this is not racism. This is not anti Semitism. There were great Semitic cultures, before Islam turned their lands into backward regressive places. Al Qaeda on the other hand are dedicated Muslims trying to follow the values and methods of the Prophet Mohammed, a murderous, genocidal, enslaving, thievin-parasite, paedophile.

The left love magic words they can say that end debate. Racism has become that word for them now. In the wake of the holocaust the idea that there ought to be a taboo against discussing group genetics especially a pejorative way gained a lot of cultural purchasing power because that kind of talk seemed to lead to gas chambers and horror.

The left love gas chambers and horror but they love taboos too. Any time they want to stop someone talking they can just leverage this post-war taboo and shrilly squeal "racism".

Such is their complete dishonesty they don't even care if the context is even remotely appropriate. So discussing the issues related to a religious belief such as Islam becomes "racism".

They don't realise that by stretching out the word racism to arbitrarily cover everything, even most necessary and benign subjects, they dilute the word of all its taboo power. Racism is in danger of becoming a joke word, a meme, instead of a taboo with silencing power. Really that has already happened as can be seen by the 4chan/pol/ phenomena.

Exactly.

As I've said many times on these pages, being called a "racist" was a really, really bad thing.

Now, however, when someone whines "RACIST!" it's far more likely because that person is far too stupid to say anything intelligent.

For whatever reason, idiots on the left have decided to believe that accusing someone of being a racist is all they need to do to win an argument when, in fact, the fact that they've actually corrupted the true meaning of the word means that being called a "racist" carries little consequence and no real stigma anymore.

Nice job, libs. You're the reason racism exists...
