Freemasonry started as an underground movement of secularists and scientists escaping from the Church's authority. i.e. the "Free" in the name.

They're not dangerous, the free world started with them.

But but but... It wasn't surely the church that stigmatized them of being cabalists, satanists and pagans... NO, it couldn't have been the inquisition or the jesuits.

Actually what would be a modern version of the illuminati? Freemasons and illuminati were basically a group that studied "forbidden" knowledge that was banned by the church. You know the weird things like: Alchemy, medicine, astrology, astronomy, the occult etc. Ultimately they became super popular until the late 19th century and start of the 20th. Since those things could already be studied properly through science instead of well everything that was forbidden.

The modern version of the illuminati would be kinda scary but also interesting and positive to a degree. Something along the lines of science without the legal and moral constraints of both the left and the right. Basically science for the sake of, well, science and not well-being of people. Cloning, gene manipulation, unrestrained Ai, etc Things that are both scary and at the same time awesome.

I would sign up for that.

Incorrect.

Various socialist and materialist movements started the "free world." A "free world" is a world that has real consciousness - via a world that is not ruled by the oppressive family institution, emotional social constructs, or money.

The "free world" that the Illuminati want to start is a world full of graffiti, recreational drugs, mass manipulation, and socially immoral corruption.

 This is why it's a conspiracy theory. It's absolutely stupid, and false.

I've known Freemasons and recently went to an open house in Thailand, by them. Having religion and morality is one of the key things in becoming a Freemason.
