1.6 million farmers receive almost 85 percent of the EU's agricultural subsidies
A large part of the EU's budget is devoted to supporting agriculture. Yet farmers receive a given amount per hectare – so large farms receive way more money than the small ones, to the extent that 25 percent of all EU farmers receive only 1.3 percent of the available funds.

It is just a subsidy for the rich Farmers. Still the EU agricultural sector is not competitive in the world, becaus refuse to accept GMO-plants and Steroids for lifestock (like the USA).

This huge ammount of Money could be rather used in the Technological sector. EU has no start ups
