I see it more and more in recent years. Of course it's nothing new, just look at how the Soviet Union or national-socialist Germany used sports as a propaganda tool only a century ago.

Propaganda doesn't have to always be a bad thing, it's just a neutral word. People automatically think of evil when they see the word propaganda. But when I look at the message they're trying to put out in sports these days, I can only come to the conclusion that it is meant to harm. It isn't positive propaganda. It isn't even the usual ''win for your state'' propaganda either.

What do you mean by propaganda? As in footballers taking the knee or swimmers refusing to stand on podiums? That kind of thing or blatant advertising? splain.
