It’s not a secret that since 2016, relations between Manila and Washington have deteriorated significantly, in particular due to the fact that the President of the Philippines, R. Duterte, began to lose confidence in the U.S’s ability to help the country defend its interests in the South China Sea, and realized that Washington is trying to drag the Philippines into a war with China.
But if the US cannot stop China’s pursuit of regional dominance, then why should the Philippines take a tough position on Beijing?
So the «separation» of the country from the United States and the reorientation to China and Russia began, and it cannot be beneficial for America. And it is obvious that Washington will do anything to deter its largest competitor in the world market and in the region.
As it is known, the US is actively using the «Islamic State», which allows them to achieve their goals, and now this is being done absolutely openly. It should be recalled that Washington banned aviation fuel supply for Russian forces in Syria, where they have been fighting terrorist groups for several years now.
Also, the activity of the «Islamic State» has now been detected in the Philippines. These groups in the region can at any time go over to terrorist actions, having got appropriate orders from their centers, in particular from the American special services.
According to experts, Washington, «having set IS» at the Philippines and undermining their defense ability and spreading fear in the eyes of the people, plans to force Manila to ask America for help. But if the American military contingent is introduced into the country, this will mean that Washington will be able to carry out initiatives that would be advantageous for only itself in the region.
For example, first of all, Washington has plans for a military presence in the area of the Paracel Islands and the Spratly Islands, that have serious military-strategic importance. After all, who has access to these points, «own» the South China Sea. Therefore, America, possessing all the necessary resources, will «lure» states that are interested in island territories to deploy their own military bases on them.
Also, the economic instability that arose because of the Trade War with the PRC has already shaken Asia and could lead to a global recession, which poses a great risk to the entire world economy. It is obvious that the United States is striving for full economic leadership and the defeat of the Chinese economy, introducing ever new taxes on the PRC and increasing the trade balance. This may help Washington to reduce the interest of a number of countries in Chinese investments and draw their attention to itself.
Moreover, according to Steve Bannon and Jacob Rothschild, the world today is on the verge of the third world war. After all, the contradictions in the world economy have become more serious than those that were on the eve of the Second World War.
Thus, we see how Washington, by all possible means, is seeking its own leadership and realization of personal benefits in a number of activity fields in the Asian region through the active use of terrorist organizations and economic sanctions.
