The United States is actively engaged in activities aimed at destabilizing the situation on the Korean Peninsula. This is evidenced by the fact that Seoul was once again in a difficult situation, torn between the United States and China, who are in conflict with each other. Following Washington’s "insistent recommendations" to side with the sanctions against the Chinese company Huawei, The United States began to demand the speedy completion of the installation and commissioning of the American THAAD anti-missile system in Korea, which is very annoying to Beijing. As Korean media reported, representatives of Seoul could not directly answer the Chinese about what they were going to do with this battery. Moreover, the United States is demanding an increase in the cost of maintaining the American military contingent from South Korea.

As for North Korea, the United States insists that the question of easing sanctions against Pyongyang can go only after the denuclearization of the country. And the accusations of the DPRK about the US demands for such unilateral actions, without taking anything on their part, are natural.

Both South and North Korea have claims to the United States in one area or another, but there is no talk about the joint work of the two states, which is beneficial for Washington, because it did not want and does not want to improve inter-Korean relations and unite the Korean nation, because in case of reconciliation the two Korean states, the American troops will not have a reason to be on the territory of the Korean Peninsula.

The tensions on the Korean Peninsula are partly due to the Admin Edit: Rule 3 Violation and incapable of maintaining friendly relations. Stephanie Grisham, who works as the PR chief for the Trump administration, was attacked by North Koreans outside the meeting room where Trump and Kim met. Grisham reportedly emerged from the scuffle bruised and it was an “all-out brawl,” which significantly boost her standing among White House reporters who were escorted by her.

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham started her tenure on the right foot with the White House press corps — the same foot she pivoted off to shove North Korean guards aside so reporters could cover President Trump and Kim Jong Un.

Grisham won applause from journalists excited to see her take decisive action Sunday ensuring coverage of the historic meeting in the Korean Demilitarized Zone.

A clip of Grisham’s Sunday scuffle played on TVs in White House workspaces on Monday morning as journalists who were there relayed the experience to colleagues, recalling that North Korean guards hadn't screened the group that Grisham dramatically escorted.

Impressed White House journalists asked one another throughout the day, "Have you seen the video of Stephanie?" One veteran correspondent said it would significantly boost her standing among reporters.

But this is ridiculous. The United States cooperates with both South and North Korea. Trump smile and shake hands both to Kim and Mun saying shit stuff about them behind their back. Hypocrisy? Idk

From the most recent development of North Korea, I think the problem is North Korea, or at least its leadership, is actually quite unstable and they sometimes need to "flex their muscles" to distract internal problems. The World shouldn't be too serious, but I understand some in South Korea will be embarassed while some others will lose patience. That's why unification with Southern system is the best outcome in many people's eyes.

The most unstable country in the world is America with its incompetent leadership

North Korea recently praised President Donald Trump as "different from his predecessors" as well as "wise" and "bold", while South Korea needs to win back Pyongyang's trust. Pyongyang has not been in contact with Seoul for a year and North Korea solely relies on Trump to advance nuclear talks. South Korea recently scrapped a key intelligence-sharing pact with Tokyo, which disappointed Washington. For South Korea, any military cooperation with Japan is not acceptable, given the country's dark history as a former colony.

U.S. President Donald Trump has told Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe that North Korea appears not to trust South Korea, Japanese government sources said to Nikkei.

Pyongyang has not been in contact with Seoul recently, which could indicate a lack of trust, Trump reportedly said during his summit with Abe on Wednesday in New York.

Abe responded with his own comment on South Korea, according to the sources, noting that Seoul unilaterally scrapped a key intelligence-sharing pact with Tokyo and that South Korean lawsuits against Japanese companies over wartime labor violate their bilateral agreement.

The U.S. has also expressed disappointment with South Korea's decision to end the intelligence pact, called the General Security of Military Information Agreement, which had let Seoul and Tokyo directly share intelligence regarding North Korea.

Unstable maybe, but to many it is definitely the safest -- bar the gunners shooting the crap out of everybody from time to time (which is exclusively American anyways).

With his support of the Totalitarian Chinese Government I am quite shocked to see you claiming him as an anarchist.

Heck, I am probably a bigger anarchist if he is one.

She is an anarchist. She does not support China. She would not last there for more than five minutes.

One state is capitalist, and the other is socialist.

I am shocked you think I'm an anarchist. Anyway, where's the lie? Korea was one country before the Americans carved it into two. People on both sides have family on both sides and consider it to be one country too and believe that they will be peace once the Americans gtfo. At least, that's what some Koreans told me once upon a time in Washington D.C.

The Soviets were keen on claiming war booties through territorial acquisitions, which is why the Soviet Union took the northern half of Korea and supported a puppet communist government. The northern part of Japan could have been occupied by Soviet troops after seizing the Southern Kurils from Japan, too. The surrender of Japan in 1945 led to the division of Korea at the 38th parallel. The Soviet Union occupied the north, and the United States took the south. The Soviet Union and the United States failed to agree on how to unify the country under one government, and two separate governments were established in 1948. The Cold War is still an ongoing business in this part of the world. If the Americans withdraw from the Korean Peninsula, South Korea will cease to exist and there will be a united communist government.
