This is the second empty piece of tour-guide sloganeering that you have uselessly provided this thread.
Media diversity mean nothing if most people aren't exposed to various points of view. In rich Western countries, there is a majority block of "voters" who only interact with commercially oriented propaganda. So even if a few hapless geeks like me can access Algerian Military media and TeleSur, it doesn't mean that a majority of the people are getting enough information to make informed decisions.
And if they're not, we're not a democracy. We're a fool-me-I'm-an-idiot-cracy. That's why commercial media is such a disaster for democracy. And different colored faces reading the same scripts doesn't help, it just helps spread the lies to other demographics who wouldn't have responded to some pasty white avatar.
