Being a Trump supporter has nothing to do with it.

Any adult should expect to be spoken to clearly and respectfully. There's no reason not to.

This is why I support the president. He embodies my personal beliefs about treating people with respect. I am morally consistent. I also enjoy the president's precise use of language, which is also very important to me.

I would have this conversation with you, like the adult you probably claim to be, but you owe me an apology first for telling me to "fuck off" when it was unwarranted.

Ok, go ahead and feel good because you (think you) took the high road. It's a nice feeling and it certainly feels better than feeling stupid... which is how you should be really feeling right now.

It sure took a large number of posts for you to say fuck all nothing with respect to what I posted originally.

What he says is the same as what everyone else is saying, but this is the first time someone in the room with Trump has said so in public.

He said Trump had been involved in the scheme for several months before the "perfect phone call." Which in turn is supported by the recent release by Parnas of video of Trump talking about it close to a year before. That video is bizarre, real foreign policy is not done to benefit the president.

Bolton contradicts most of what Republicans have been saying.

I doubt this will change things much. But it will make the position of Susan Collins even more precarious. I am so hoping we can get rid of her.

I hope he'll testify. And Lev Parnas. At least they'll address the issue at hand.

Okay guys. I know we all drift from the topic from time to time but Crikey, St Mikey. 3 1/2 pages of insults that aren't on topic is just nuts. Rancid's right when he said the quality of pofo has been declining

And the reason I've said nothing is because you're proving that you don't want to have a conversation. People who do want to have a conversation don't normally lead with "Fuck off!", but that seems to be what you felt was most appropriate.

If I thought you wanted to discuss this; I mean really discuss it, I would. But your childish, immature antics betray anything you might say to the contrary.

[mod note: while the introduction of swear words directed at people was regrettable, responding by accusing people of 'hysterics' or of not being 'adult' or being 'childish' is not an attempt to carry on a debate, but to goad. It's a distraction from the thread topic. Please, everyone talk about Bolton and his book, if you're in this thread.]

Yea, because those right wingers want to give free healthcare to illegal aliens.

Why? He didn't do anything wrong, and he's well qualified as a judge.

late wrote:From the Civil War to George Mitchell making peace in Ireland, we weren't just world class, we showed how it was done.

Apparently Mitchell had some ties with Jeffery Epstein too.

Finfinder wrote:To think that John Bolton of all people is going to save the republic on behalf of the Democrats supposedly from an unnamed source with he NYT, has got to be in the running for joke of the year.

It is remarkable. Trump's defense team is cutting the impeachment argument to shreds as we speak. Nothing Bolton can say would rehabilitate the case for impeachment.

Potemkin wrote:Indeed. They are both populist parties, who aim their appeal to the lowest members of society (as well as, paradoxically, the highest).

That's democracy by design. It's appealing to the lowest common denominator to gain a majority. The alternative is to restrict the franchise.

Finfinder wrote:The Dems have played this game so badly that no one cares anymore, elections are not going to be determined by Boltons testimony nor can the media and the Democrats can scare anybody with their hollow threats.

I don't know. Maybe we should fight the Russians over there so we don't have to fight them over here... The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming.

Anyway, yeah the Bolton and Lev Parnas stuff is just hoping they can add some spice to the mix, but the problem is that there is no case for impeachment. Trump's defense team is completely destroying it. As I said, they would end up waging an affirmative defense and that would kill off any chance of a conviction. This leak to the press was just one more "bombshell" that means nothing. Tiresome.

I can see that the red herring, Hunter Biden, that Republican leadership has dreamed up, has grabbed hold of the collective conservative imagination. The delaying tactics from "there was no quid pro quo" to "okay, so he tried to bribe the Ukraine president, but it's okay because someone related to a Democrat may have done something wrong" will now segue into chants of "lock him (Biden) up" at Trump rallies. The tragic hilarity of believing that a real estate developer turned "reality" tv personality turned politician-with each of those iterations becoming logarithmically less trustworthy-as the final arbiter of truth in government has been amazing to behold. Gee whiz Republican voters, you've got it figured out: the world is lying and Trump is telling the truth. Now, if you believe that, he has a bridge in New York he'd love to sell you.

Let’s not forget the newly revealed evidence that came to light on Saturday, in the form of a tape recording released by the lawyer for Lev Parnas, who had worked for Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, in the Ukraine scheme. Mr. Trump has denied even knowing Mr. Parnas, but on the tape the two men can be heard in conversation at a dinner in April 2018. “Get rid of her,” Mr. Trump said of Ms. Yovanovitch. “Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. O.K.? Do it.”

In a late-night tweet, Mr. Trump angrily denied Mr. Bolton’s allegations. “I NEVER told John Bolton that the aid to Ukraine was tied to investigations into Democrats, including the Bidens,” Mr. Trump wrote.

You know what would be a good way to figure out who’s telling the truth? Subpoena Mr. Bolton to testify under oath.

I genuinely believe that Donald Trump is against corruption and that, as the well informed Executive in Chief that he is, has made it his mission to root out all corruption where he finds it. I genuinely believe he has intimate knowledge of the Ukrainian political landscape and found Hunter Biden's sweet do nothing job to be particularly egregious. I also fart out of my mouth and once lost a finger to necrosis because I tied my shoe wrong.

Hmmm. Those are good points. But have you considered the man in clown makeup is my daddy, and that daddy can do no wrong? Also, as an insanely racist weirdo who posts black murder porn for funsies, Donald Trump represents all of my hopes and desires and therefore he is infallible?

Also Donald Trump isn't racist. I am insanely racist and I love him, but Donald Trump is NOT racist.

Indeed. People love to hear success stories, even though it sometimes includes unhappy experiences.

March.

Donald recently promoted the White House Chief Custodian as Secretary of the Interior so ….. there is currently an opening for a good man to cart out Obese Donald's Big Mac trash.

Sorry Rancid. The White House has low employee retention but 0 turnover. This is because the president is a business man who is good at business. Everyone knows the best way to run a business is to hemorrhage talent and then never hire anyone to fill newly emptied positions. Institutional knowledge is an unnecessary business expense that is easily replaced by a basic cable package.

This so-called leak sounds fishy to me. Probably a publicity stunt to get more preorders of his book due out in March. Order on Amazon.com.
Or maybe it is just another example of fake news.
