Acknowledging reality is not "dramatic flair." Downplaying reality as "dramatic flair" is a form of denial though. It's not a stretch to call Trump dictator because that's exactly what he wants to be. He has dangerous personality called narcissism. He could also very well be a sociopath. Most narcissists had a poor childhood. So, now Trump fills the void that his narcissistic wound left him that came from somewhere most likely during his childhood with power and attention. He has a mental illness and that mental illness has left him with serious character flaws which makes him dangerous. Especially since he is the occupant of the White House. Trump has clearly demonstrated that he wants to be dictator and has openly suggested that "we should try that" to de-sensitize the American public to him being dictator. This is one way a predator preys upon his victims. He will eventually turn on his supporters too left unchecked and given enough time.
