Biden's got this, because he's a total Establishment tool. And he's likely to have Mayor Butt as his VP pick, because he too is an absolute Establishment Capitalist Shill and ticks a box on the Identity Politics scorecard.

Biden's campaign is in a lot of trouble.

If the candidate is male, he better pick a female for VP. I'm no expert, and I can see that one a mile away.

Earlier in this thread, I said this was unpredictable, and it is. But I can guess, and my guess is Sanders. If I was him, I'd pick a Black female, perhaps Kamala Harris for VO.

Bloomberg is going to be like a dynamite in a pond. Not sure anyone survives what he's about to do (with a chance of winning).

I don't think you understand. The intent has been to lose to President Trump in 2020 all along. Some got the memo, the others have already dropped out.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on that one.

If you were American, I'd use stronger language, almost nobody puts themselves through the meat grinder of an American presidential election with the intention of losing.

You do occasionally see a stalking horse campaign. I've long thought that was what Pat Buchanan was doing when we ran.

We do.

I am American, ''stronger language'' away. :D .

Almost all of these political hacks are the worst sort of prostitutes you can imagine; the payoff for them though is really real, although all are manifestly unqualified to represent the American people as it is they can expect future political roles in a future Administration or some sort of Public/Private Sincure.

You do occasionally see a stalking horse campaign. I've long thought that was what Pat Buchanan was doing when we ran.

''occasionally''? It's the rule. It insures political movement in the direction the Elites desire. In the 90's you not only had Buchanan but definitely Ross Perot, for example. From then to today, the Bushes and Clintons and their type are in reality the closest of political and even personal allies.

Not that simple.

It's exceedingly simple, but surrounded by a bodyguard of bullshit rationalizations and excuses that obscure the fact that these people are our Oligarchs, and as much as they may sometimes hate each other they also work together in their class interests, feeding on us like human beings are livestock to be exploited;

The same group of people have been running this country since after FDR, really, the recent ones since VP Bush was running the country after Reagan was shot.

It sure is a sad state of affairs in the world of politics. It has always been a dirty world, but someone is seriously stinking up the West. Every four years people have to deal with this pathetic circus of controlled and compromised individuals.

Those pics aren't foolproof evidence though, since these assholes are forced to hang around with each other as part of the stupid President and Ex-President clubs. Plus they have to show up at the other Presidents funerals too.

Only the Top one was taken without that being a factor because he wasn't President yet. There's plenty of photos with them all hanging out with Jimmy Carter too, and Reagan hanging out with Clinton when he was alive too. Even President Nixon before he passed on.

@Code Rood have you ever seen the Australian Parliament Question Time???

It looks like a kindergarten with "grown-ups" way too often.

There's all manner of evidence of closeness of these Elites, like when Barbara Bush called Bill Clinton her ''Son'', etc... I didn't want to spend a lot of time on the matter, just have enough out there to get people thinking.

Yes, these people all know each other, attend the same schools, network extensively in private and public sectors, intermarry... Their an Aristocratic class in a country that traditionally affirms that such things don't matter.

It's because they all get Grey Hairs "really fast".

It's mostly just 8-years of ageing normally, but because it's so public we all notice the "big difference" in hair colour from beginning to end. Even though it's normal to get Grey Hairs, we human beings refuse to psychologically admit it.

Trump already dyes his hair, so it won't go grey. It's already grey underneath the dye.

I don't disagree with you, in fact I think the Presidential Clubs and having to turn up to other Presidential Funerals (+other events) are part of the issue.

Yeah, but when George W. Bush and Michelle Obama are friends, then you have a little more of an insight. I think this is part of why Jeb Bush went nowhere. He was a competent governor of Florida, but the Bush family game was well known by that point.

Yes. As I said, I think the Presidential Clubs and post-Presidential perks, and obligations, contribute to this issue.

Of course they are going to develop this "friendship" stuff, they have to do this shit all the time.

Americans should seek significant reforms to the Presidential Perks.

Here's Carter and buddies:

Americans should pressure for significant reform of the Presidential Perks to not allow ex-Presidents to have too close of a post-Presidential relationship.

Here is how we will know if the democrats are seriously trying to win. If they run a gay man or black female they are not serious. Remember that it is possible to win all of the primaries and not get the nomination it the democratic party.

I would happily vote for a gay man or a black woman. But trust me. I am in the minority on this. Do you know why white people think there is more racism in the US than black people do?
#15067339
As far as I'm concerned Buttigieg is basically "Dukakis if he was gay".

Big mistake if the Democrats make him the Presidential Candidate.

Kelly Anne(who I have no doubt will run the 2020 campaign playbook) will tell Trump to go study how Bush Sr won in '88 if he goes up against Pete.

Given that no female has ever won the presidency or vice presidency, why do you think that's a requirement? Statistically, it sounds like a sure loser.

You think so even in view of Supreme Court appointments? I think that's why the Democrats are freaking out so badly.

I don't think kissing his husband on stage is going to go over well with black voters or evangelicals. I don't know why he does that.

Statistics is only worth referencing if the base is large enough.

In US electoral history there were only one major VP candidate (Sarah Palin) and one major President candidate (Hilary Clinton). Both their losses do not make any conclusion.

Besides, the number of US presidential elections are not that plenty (the upcoming is not even number 60) anyways.
