1) John Kerry was famous for his testimony to Congress and for throwing his medals away. So no doubt they were going to exploit that for political gains, just as Bloomberg is going to face the wrath of his own statements about minority throwing kids up against the wall, because they are the ones committing all the crimes.

2)That buys a lot of positive press coverage.

1) The ends justify the means.. the country is going to pay a steep price for that short sighted foolishness.

2) You said the Establishment was unrepresented without Biden. Which was wrong. Bloomberg wouldn't just represent the East Coast Establishment, he is the East Coast Establishment. A while back, Pete was having trouble getting money and traction and swung to the Right. So now he gets money from rich guys, a small part of the Establishment. He's hoping to become the darling of the rich guys.

You were wrong.

I'm assuming that Bloomberg won't take the nomination, mostly because Sanders has a big lead followed by Buttigieg. Bloomberg is spending a fuck ton of money though, so you may be right that he will be able to pull it off. It remains to be seen. Sanders caught a big chunk of Warren's vote while Buttigieg picked up some as did Klobuchar. Bloomberg is picking up the Biden vote. People aren't enthusiastic about Bloomberg, they'll just hear about him a lot because he's spending so much money on advertising--literally trying to buy the nomination.

That doesn't necessarily make him a neoconservative/neoliberal war hawk--although, nobody can run on that successfully now.

For a female VP, I like Katie Porter, smart lady your Katie, or the fiesty Stacey Abrams. I think Hillary's the only one who's got the world wide experience with other leaders which is something you seriously need, more than anyone's discussing

All candidates suck. This might be the most ideologically weak and illiterate Democratic bench.

Joe Biden would be a decent choice. But he was hit by corruption allegations. He lost momentum.

Michael Bloomberg is a businessman. He understands how the market and companies work. This is something very rare among Democratic hopefuls. This makes him a better choice among others.

Hillary carries way too much baggage.

Stacey lacks experience because elections in that state are rigged. You need someone with at least a little national experience. Amy might bring Minnesota with her, but this sort of thing is not something I know much about. But Kamala would cement Black and women votes.

Michael Bloomberg is really a Republican that is running as a Democrat because he hates Donald Trump.

The continual rise of Sanders is remarkable. A few decades ago, a self proclaimed Socialist wouldn't even make a mark in America. Today he is the one to beat. Which means attitudes are changing massively in America. The term "Socialism" is now becoming synonymous with change rather than the Soviet Union there. It seems the contradictions of Capitalism are now profound and has driven a wedge between political views, assigning them to polar political extremes. On one hand you have Trump, all bluster, no action blaming migrants for Americas ills. On the other Sanders, a man who offers real hope but has to fight the money men and media mogels to show the rednecks the real enemy isn't found in race but in class. And I hope he wins. Sanders definately has the real policies to make America great fair again.

It is a relief and a joy that socialism is making this great come-back, it's like watching Tiger Woods win a Green Jacket after his DUI.

Not really. I mean he's just pushing a modern version of the Democrats traditional pre-Clinton progressive platform and getting called "dangerous" for it. Corporate Democrats hate him.

How far America has changed will depend on whether he get the nomination, or if America is lucky, the presidency. Although propaganda is huge in America. Can the Corporates convince the proles against their best interests to maintain theirs? Either way it is great to see a new movement in America that isn't based on racism.

Considering my political predictions materialize at least twice as frequently as yours, you ought to consider what I'm saying.

So why do you think Hillary Clinton as a VP candidate for Bloomberg is a smear by association? You dislike Hillary Clinton? You were just saying in another post it's time for a woman president.

I think it is far too easy to blame Hillary for the loss in 16. She did not lose. She was strategically beaten.

She won the popular vote by a goodly margin. She would deliver the black vote to Bloomberg. She still has a boat load of followers who would add a powerful ground game to Bloomberg. She is the match for anyone on the debate stage and would make mincemeat out of Pence if he was stupid enough to have a real debate with her. And she can attract money for a campaign that does not need any. Finally she has impeccable experience and the advantage of being able to steal some press from Trump.

I am not so sure she could not beat Trump this time if she played her cards right and as second fiddle to Bloomberg she is an inspired choice.

I think Hillary Clinton is done in American politics. Her loss to Trump was just far to devastating and embarrassing. She'll never fully recover from that.

Think about it: The woman Barack Obama described as the most qualified person to ever seek the Presidency was beaten by Donald Trump.

You don't come back from a bitch-slap like that.
#15068145
Horse feathers. As Dr Lee wrote, she was strategically beaten, but she scored 3 million more votes than President Trump. And look at what she had to endure: 30 years of innuendo by the republican party, plus Bannon, Comey, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB) etc. 3,000,000.

And look at all the people who want health care, her forté. Once people began to lose health care, Obamacare, they realised how much they need it. She'd have it written by now. It would be languishing on Mitch's desk, but it would be written. She would also have never done the things that Trump did to mess up the environment. People who are democraticly friendly but voted for Trump must feel pretty let down. So must the 1,000,000 federal employees who lost a month or more pay at Christmas time two years in a row. And all those who wonder were your scientists are.

Women did well being elected fresh female faces to congress. I doubt they'll bat an eye over the honourable Mrs. Clinton

I need coffee.

I may not like Warren, but it's nice to see her take out the Johnny come lately billionaire trash. Lol.

After the last debate performance of hers sucked, she finally puts in a good one to try and save her campaign.

Well B0ycey this post of yours is the truth and nothing but the truth.

Will he win the nomination? I don't know. It could be the Clintonian death star is still in operation and ready to kill anyone not some billionaire pro capitalist....both parties are corrupt and anti democratic pieces of shit.

It is time to see what happens? If Sanders doesn't win he won't be around for 2024. He can't run a third term. He will be too old by then in my honest opinion. I think the democratic socialist platform of the USA needs very great middle aged intellectuals with charismatic leadership and new young blood with at least about 10 years experience at the senate or governor level. It is the only way.

The youth are very socialist. I have seen them in the USA. I went to meetings there. They are young. Not old. They are the future. They are coming on strong.

But the DNC and RNC are ignoring all the will of the people and want to pick some sellout people or the conman prez with an unpredictability factor.

It is problematic. The USA if it keeps on this track of military spending and billionaire tax cuts and so on? I think it will hit the economic skids. Down spiral. A war will be invented. Then you run the risk of a dictatorship with Trump. And after that...the Republic is going to be ignored by the rest of the developed world as a leader of any kind.

That is the reality.

I just hope Puerto Rico becomes independent and the USA releases the US Virgin Islands, Guam, Solomon Islands, American Samoa, and other places. Just let them go in peace. Get the hell out of the Empire business and go lick your wounds for your political lack of intelligence and move on....

And feel the heat from the young people you have betrayed. I hope they whip your old, pro capitalist, tired, nasty callous and fake values and you finally learn how to cope with realism America.

Damn shame what people have to go through to get universal health care and free state university tuition, affordable housing and better public schools and public infrastructure. Got to burn down the country and make it lose all semblance of decency to get that to happen.

Damn.

It's obvious the Clinton supporters have flocked to Klobuchar already keeping her in good position. I doubt Bloomberg will get them back. Especially after Warren just wiped the floor with him to possibly save her campaign.

Klobuchar pulls out, they'll go straight to Warren who obviously isn't done just yet.

If you're going to talk mainly absolute bullshit, at least get basic facts correct. 3000000 in voter fraud from illegal voters, first of all...

And why do you keep peddling these tired and hysterically wrong conspiracy theories about the Russians wanting Trump in office? You can't even get the name of the agency you're accusing correct, or it's function. The FSB stands for; ''Federal'naya Sluzhba Bezopasnosti '' or in English; ''Federal Security Service''. Its functions are like that of the FBI, primarily domestic in the Russian Federation. It's website is at fsb.ru. The foreign intelligence service is the SVR, or ''Sluzhba Vneshney Razvedki'', or ''Foreign Intelligence Service''. It is Russia's CIA. No Russian agency is capable of throwing an election to anyone in Russia, much less anywhere else, nor do they need to. In fact, President Trump is like a bull in a China shop, and they'd prefer to deal with someone else with a different emotional makeup. Let go of this hysterical and dangerous nonsense.

Cry me a river for that Machievellian master liberal pro banking woman...Hillary. Establishment liberal nightmare. Not even liberal that woman is some kind of hybrid of Kissinger/Goldwater and the worst of Liberal excuses for morality.
Hillary Horror I would say.

Robert Reich gave his opinion....Robert Reich was labor secretary for the Clinton administration. He doesn't say that Clinton was successful transforming the society on the whole with some decency. He was disappointed with the CLinton machine.

By the way, I think Tulsi Gabbard being barred from the stage and Bloomberg being there instead is a disgrace.

How can that happen? He bought his spot on the stage!

At least Warren chucked him straight under the bus. Hopefully that continues. Respect for Warren, she might just have saved her campaign.
