Do you think it possible that you could act like a human being and stop your own projectionism and demonization of others that you lay onto them? I think you'd be happy with the deaths of thousands if not millions if it removed your White Whale of a hated politician from office.

Of course you will deny this is the case, as you repeat your mantra across dozens of threads all day long every single day, but it's true.

Why don't you give it a rest? This pandemic is bad enough to deal with without your maniacal and relentless politicization of it.

late wrote:Sigh.

Vietnam was a mistake that 4 or 5 presidents made, depending on how you look at it.

It was a mistake made at the highest level that got tens of thousands killed, same way Trump's many mistakes will kill tens of thousands of people that wouldn't have died if we had had a competent president. Or even a half assed one like Bush2.

So you're only counting the deaths of the empire's soldiers as tragic. The millions of Asians who were killed by chemical weapons, starvation, and side effects from the chemicals are not tragic, in your opinion.

And killing innocent people and destroying their society was a "mistake," and not business-as-usual for America's elite, as far as your concerned. Just another "mistake" that leads to other "mistakes."

Donald Trump, if he really has sabotaged any kind of appropriate response to a tragedy, is just doing what any USA media-viewer would do: ignoring tragedy to concentrate on the people he actually cares about. And that's not you or me, but you don't care about out-group humans either, so suck it up now that you're just one more disposable number.

Epidemiologists trying to get a handle on the coronavirus threat appear to have been caught off guard by the immediate politicization of their work, the claims that they were perpetrating a hoax designed to hurt Trump, or promote socialism, or something. But they should have expected that reaction, since climate scientists have faced the same accusations for years. And while climate-change denial is a worldwide phenomenon, its epicenter is clearly here in America: Republicans are the world’s only major climate-denialist party.

What lies behind Republican science denial? The answer seems to be a combination of fealty to special interests and fealty to evangelical Christian leaders like Jerry Falwell Jr., who dismissed the coronavirus as a plot against Trump, then reopened his university despite health officials’ warnings, and seems to have created his own personal viral hot spot.

I am drawing an analogy about killing Americans. This will kill more Americans than the Vietnam conflict.

I have also opposed the empire since the 1960s.

The inmates are running the asylum.

And yet, the only deaths you drew attention to were its soldiers.

I bet people like you were right there at the airport when the soldiers came home, ready to scream insults at them and call them ''babykillers'', like what happened to my uncle when he came home. People like that are beneath contempt, traitorous bastards.

I spent those years listening to vets. The vets I talked to didn't talk about that much. But the trauma of war, particularly a pointless war, was something I spent many hours listening to.

I live in Maine, we're not like California, which is where most of that sort of thing happened.

The one time I saw that personally, the person doing it was Republican.

Just FYI, when you talk about me, you are invariably wrong. I don't mind because I don't expect much here. But I thought you might want to know.

This is the North American forum.

I have talked about that in other forums. I was an anti-war protester, I hate the empire.

I genuinely believe our resident racists and Trump supporters care about the distinctions between Federal agencies and their duties. They aren't just trying to get people to focus on how our senile moron president shouts half-remembered advice Kushner told him at a meeting, which Kushner heard from Silicon Valley types who drink "raw water."

Yeah this was politicized by Late, not a country full of rightwing morons with their own media bubble telling them that Covid is a leftist conspiracy (also please die for the Dow Jones).

Lol your uncle traumatized himself forever to serve in a pointless war where he murdered people for no reason. Sounds like a loser to me.

Yes, war is hell. But the war in question wasn't ''pointless'' until the will to win it from the Liberal politicians who began it faded.

''that sort of thing''....
The one time I saw that personally, the person doing it was Republican.

Still a piece of walking garbage either way.

Just FYI, when you talk about me, you are invariably wrong. I don't mind because I don't expect much here. But I thought you might want to know.

I didn't say you did that sort of thing. But that's the sort of thing people who ''fought the Empire'' in the 1960's and 70's did. I certainly don't believe you'll say that sort of behavior was disgraceful.

To be fair, Trump does that as well, and he has power while that Member doesn't.

Besides that Member only does it on PoFo, while extremely annoying (or even hateful), is not particularly harmful.

If asylums are democratic it is natural that inmates elect themselves to run the facility.

Also, if anyone believes their country is an asylum they essentially admit themselves as mad as their fellows, unless they believe themselves should be wards.

It's been politicized by people on both sides, with the most deranged not caring less if the virus takes out enough people to end Trump's Presidency, the human lives don't matter.

Yes, you do sound like one. Degenerates aren't worth polishing that honorable man's boots much less speaking out of turn about veterans like him. I don't expect any less from you at this point.

People like them are all over the media, politics, the cultural institutions, academia, etc... So it contributes to the general climate of hysteria and the politics of personal destruction.

Sadly, the left also has issues with science. For example they do not believe in the concept intelligence and that it can be estimated with testing. They think that a boy can be a girl or a girl a boy according to what the person thinks. :knife: :knife: :knife:

1)Sadly, you can't seem to make simple distinctions.

2) Are dragging up that old racist meme from a couple decades ago, the Bell Curve?

3) There are many sorts of testing. We certainly do too much testing, but you'll need to get specific. Did you know George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abe Lincoln never took a single test? If you mean secondary school, the testing regime is both absurd and counter-productive. SAT scores have less weight among admissions officers these days because they have clear limits.

4) That's complicated. But I acknowledge your need for simple.

I don't see what's honorable about being forced to fight in a pointless war, if anything I feel pity for your uncle. Unless he volunteered, in which case lol.
