Sometimes people deserve to be called out for their stupidity.

For next stage of testing it is sufficient.

annatar1914 wrote:You must be kidding.

Not at all, otherwise we would have the same situation as in Russia, with a vaccine already approved.

annatar1914 wrote:Sure. Your posting history on the subject suggests that you attack everything without supporting evidence to back up your comment, and you're on to the next attack sometime later.

:eh:

I would say I post actual evidence more often than most posters on Pofo.

Sometimes I don't consider a debate to be worthwhile.

annatar1914 wrote:The Russian Constitution prohibits an overall state ideology to which all must adhere to to have political office. So your ''dislike'' while noted is irrelevant and pointless.

Completely misses the point. Russia doesn't offer anything. It mimics liberal democracy because that's the dominant ideology of the day. It holds elections even though they're a farce. It's all fakery and bullshit. It pretends the West is all fakery and bullshit too to distract from its own hollowness.

annatar1914 wrote:There's always several running. If they quit squabbling and united behind one candidate they might get somewhere. But, the opposition is such that they are of the sort that think Putin is too much of a Liberal Westernizer himself. Few of your western style Liberals in Russia...

Yes, several are running, those approved by Putin, while actual threats are being eliminated by courts/in the approval process.

annatar1914 wrote:If Russians wanted someone different they'd have someone different. As it is, a plurality at the very least don't trust to have anyone else at the helm just yet.

Which can be said about any people under any system. Point it, Russians hardly have a choice.

annatar1914 wrote:It's called trust in a strong leader. The West hasn't had strong leadership in any country in a rather long time so the attitude towards one when they appear is somewhat ambivalent.

In the West we select leaders according to their political programs, that's called democratic competition. "strong leadership" is a completely meaningless apolitical phrase.

annatar1914 wrote:Ah yes, preach to me some more about the wonders of liberal ''representative democracy'' where the only power that rules is the Money Power

Preach me some more about the supposed lack of Money Power in Russia, a country ruled by Putin's gang of oligarchs with the highest wealth inequality in the developed world.

Roosevelt had the 8 year term limit (which wasn't at the time) extended because they entered WWII, and following that the US made an amendment to make the 8 year limit a law. Putin isn't being extended because of emergency, he just wants power.

Changing the laws so he can remain in power was done Constitutionally and represented the will of the Russian people, along with the other amendments to the Russian Constitution. If you don't like the will of the Russian people, that's another matter.

LOL. Smells like corruption.

Why would Russians have any faith in their electoral process? The Russian government doped their athletes for the Olympics, and tried to rig the US elections, Putin is well-known for cheating to win. He's a sleezy strongman, they're all the same. He gets under the US's skin, so he's fairly popular in Russia. Doesn't change the fact that Russia is the craphole of Europe. Dude is stuck in the 1980's. The Cold War is over brah.

It was always clear that an "inactivated virus vaccine" would be the easiest to develop. The Chinese have a number of programs for developing this type of vaccine. It was thought that the Chinese would be the first to come out with a vaccine of this type. It's silly to claim that the Russians stole it from the West since most vaccines developed in the West are of a different type.

There are move than 100 programs to develop a Covid-19 vaccine worldwide. We don't know anything about the Russian vaccine, but it's unlikely that the first vaccine will be the best. With many billions of doses required to repeatedly vaccinate the entire world population, no single provider will be in a position to fulfill the demand. As time goes by, there will be different vaccines from different manufacturers on the market.

Roosevelt put people designated as Japanese into prison camps. Now I know a lot of Liberals are going to try and defend Roosevelt by saying that Hitler, Goering, Rohm and Himmler had already put lots of people into prison camps, and if it was OK for Hitler to do it was OK for Roosevelt to do it. But most of the people put into the prison camps early on were indisputably German. Most were Communists, Socialists and Trade Unionists. For right or for wrong a lot of Communists had been involved in violence and mayhem during Weimar. What on earth justification was there for putting Japanese people into prisons because of their race?

Don't get me wrong I'm not not condoning the binning of due process by the Nazis to deal with the late Weimar crime wave, any more than I condone the denial of due process to Khalid Sheik Mohaamad. I never even supported the three strikes laws that Republicans and triangulation Democrats like Kamala Harris seemed so keen on a few years back. I just don't even see the most threadbare justification for FDR's actions. If anything Japanese Americans were a role model for a law abiding, pro social community.

Yet the same hypocrites who make apologies for FDR had the audacity to criticise Putin for this robust, some might say even a little bit rough handling of Chechnya. Russia's Muslim communities are a real source of crime, violence, murder, tyranny and terror not an invented one like Japanese Americans.

Sure, Liberals will argue in droves that Roosevelt's actions were legitimate or justified because the Nazis had already done the same as well.

Maybe you should know better.

There's no talking to someone who already has their mind made up and has a demented hatred in their heart in any case. Especially when so much of that hatred comes from a failing ideological construct like liberalism.

Hatred disguised as ignorant mockery. Russia isn't going down the road the failing West has taken, and for that there is animus enough to go around. You know in your heart that the godless, childless, hedonistic and selfish West is doomed unless spiritual change happens, but I have a feeling that you'd deny that too.

Changing the laws so he can remain in power was done Constitutionally and represented the will of the Russian people, along with the other amendments to the Russian Constitution. ''Democracy in Russia is a joke'', again, because you don't like his policies doesn't mean that Putin and his policies are disliked by at least a plurality of the Russian people. Most who do oppose him do not think he's anti-western enough, so you've got no avenue of attack there. And as i'm saying also, very much Constitutional.

Putin isn't a Dictator. People are free to say what they like and do, very much so. And again, most of any opposition to him says he hasn't gone far enough. I know that doesn't suit you or your narrative, so it's likely you'll just ignore it.

Hey, looks like that non-dictator Putin in that healthy democracy we know as Russia has been at it again!

From that British rag, the Guardian.

Besides, Navalny is well past his expiration date with the Western services he sold himself to. I'm sure he'd make a better martyr for the cause of the West than anything else at this point.

Putin and the Russian government gain nothing by poisoning this fool, especially at this point in time with problems in Belarus and so forth. Doctors suspected drinking and drugs the night before, to which his spokesperson replied that ''he doesn't drink alcohol on wednesdays''.... :eh:

You can get this story from about 100 different news sources. Choose your favorite. From the article:

"An outspoken critic of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, Navalny was returning to Moscow by plane from Siberia when he fell ill, prompting the captain to make an emergency landing in Omsk, where he was taken to hospital. A mobile video shot on the plane showed medical personnel rushing onboard as Navalny screamed in agony."

As an ex-KGB officer during the Cold War, this tactic would never occur to Putin. Maybe it was MBS from Saudi Arabia?

Rugoz wrote:Sure, nothing to gain whatsoever, as with all the other regime critics who were poisoned, shot or fell from balconies.

I'm afraid not everyone can suck Putin's cock as hard as you do. I hope it makes you feel loved at least.

Your vile comments only confirm that I have always been correct about your basic malignancy concerning Russia and no doubt many other things. Look in the mirror and have pity on yourself.

100 sources that come from a corporate media that are all owned by the same handful of people who spew their garbage all over the world, about this and many other issues not just those pertaining to Russia. What a joke, i'm done talking to zombies.

The Guardian is an independent news outlet that doesn't show ads or take ad money from corporations, and relies on donations and subscriptions for revenue, it's not corporate media. But...fake news!

I may well be a fool but your comments are personally vile, no doubt because you lack the truth telling ability to back up your bile-filled attacks. You simply prove the nullity of your beliefs, if you actually have any and aren't a Nihilist at heart.
