I was actually thinking of Sanders as the stronger candidate, but now with BLM and Covid happening, Biden is probably the better choice. I think lots of people just want someone competent in the White House for a change instead of more anti-establishment rants.

There's hope all those Trumpster dimwits will be gone after a Biden win. :excited:

George Washington would walk up and shoot Bernie between the eyes. George would have Biden's shot at dawn by Biden's closest Democrat aficionados. You are either a Patriot or not. The election in November is for America's ability to continue to be a World power. Biden is a Chinese sellout and should be exposed as the criminal he is. Corn Pop says, "The Hawaiian Muslim and Joe spent a lot of time and money spying on President Trump so crooked Hillary might of had a chance." President Trump's agenda is Awesome. All never Trumpers should leave America asap and stay far away to help to Make and Keep America Great. Socialist Politicians and Globalism Suck!

It's good you saw the light :)

But even without BLM and the pandemic, I fail to see how would candidates whose proposals necessitate large tax hikes have a hope of winning an election.

Turnout is just as important as winning the center. Biden is obviously the better choice for the latter, but Sanders can draw a crowd and, thinking beyond this election, the better candidate to lose with.

Meh, I'd rather have the progressives lose to a more mainstream GOP candidate.

As for turnout, this election is actually even more unpredictable than usual on that front, since a large outbreak could mess up turnout quite badly in general and particularly for the Democrats regardless of the candidate.

They're so brainwashed at this point that they're incapable of making an independent rational assessment. Their minds have been so completely colonized by the shitstream shillathon media that there is no actual person left in there to appeal to anymore, all that's left is npc programming and a hyper-stimulated amygdala.

B0ycey wrote:Indeed it is if you don't want Biden as president. Only if you are ambivalent do you have an open ballot sheet as this is a two horse race. Or are you arguing there is a third option?

I'm arguing that a vote for neither candidate is, in fact, a vote for neither candidate.

There's already blood on the streets. Black Lives Matter became a movement under racist murder when Obama was playing the part of the guy who's in charge.

B0ycey wrote:The objective should just get Trump out of office. Sure Biden is crap, but he isn't Trump. And whether people accept it or not, voting for anyone other than Biden is a vote for Trump.

Stop with the attempts of voter-shaming. If the Democrats wanted to win, maybe they shouldn't have put senile Joe Biden and a cop up for sale and maybe speak to...I dunno, one selling point that might earn them a vote from the working class.

Still, if Biden wins, his presidency might bring along someone worse than Trump, like Obama's presidency brought about a figure like Trump, which btw the Clinton campaign elevated in the media (see pied piper campaign)

B0ycey wrote:Or are you arguing there is a third option?

I suppose you can ask this question to the 100 million eligible voters in the U.S. who don't vote?

Tainari88 wrote:Chad sounds like a deranged bot really.

I think so too.

No.

Susan wrote a Tweet "explaining" to her fans what she "would do."

She's an actress, and is currently out of work, so her neutrality or honesty is highly questionable.

More likely, the Democrat Party has asked her to write this Tweet in order to encourage her egghead fans to vote Biden even though he is a shit candidate with nothing new to offer anyone. So Sarandon, who has not to my knowlege joined any Third Parties during other crappy candidates from the Dems, is just telling eggheads to vote for the "lesser Evil" yet again.

I hope people give her ZERO credibility.

Ay Q, sometimes I think politically it is a real desert. With no fountains of sparkling refreshment and fertility. Just a bunch of super disappointing horrors.

What can I say Q?

@blackjack21

That's where you are wrong. The reason for working class desire for more equity was the establishment's post Cold War planning of unfettered global capitalism, and it's not just unpopular among working people in the US. It's the backbone of Gilets Jaunes in France, AfD in Germany, Brexit in the UK, Lega in Italy, and so forth.

BJ, Relampago man, the establishment follows capitalism. It had to betray the working class in the USA. It is the rule of capitalism to exploit and betray. It always chooses to kill nationalism if it is between nationalism and a globalist elite capitalist making sure they control the system. That is where you fail all the time BJ. You keep thinking the name of the game is about protecting your nation and dominating from nationalistic hegemony. It is not like that. Capitalism depends on the workers in Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean colonies like the US Virgin Islands and PR and many others and the African ex-colonies for resources and it has to dominate information and data as well now to peddle things to the third world when the first world consumers no longer buy the shit that the corporations peddle. You keep thinking nationalism is strong enough to overcome these bastards. It is not. Only internationalist solidarity will do the trick. It is like a maze and you close off all the avenues of exploitation and move in on the exploiter and then stomp them and change the paradigm. A seismic shift in values. It is the way.

You don't see it that way even when it is obvious. The immigration issue is about instability in many nations who can't provide living wages and basics to its citizens and they move to the USA and other nations where the exploitation is LESS. I had a long discussion with a brilliant Mexican economist on a Mexican news site....and also on another informative site. He summed it up perfectly. Our leadership in the past had always sold us as cheap labor to the first world and undermined our ability for collective bargaining to get the wages we needed and the stability we needed. We don't have the infrastructure only expensive computers no one can afford, the love of cell phones we can't afford and the lack of knowledge of the many to use it to gain traction. It has been decisions made by the elite who refused to invest in education or health or water, housing, and medical care in the correct way to push us out of poverty. He is right. And he knows the majority of Mexicans work in micro-businesses because the wage sector is so low that no one wants to go for wages. No one but some government workers with connections. It is worthless to try to get decent wages here even for nurses, attorneys, computer programmers, techs and etc. It is all extremely exploited. They are paying the price BJ.

It is a global plan BJ. It is not by accident. Nationalism is not the solution.

As for you mentioning street cred BJ of Trump representing the true working-class' fears about job loss and so on? Trump doesn't give a shit about working-class people. He barely cares about his supporters and for vanity is willing to have COVID 19 spread in his rallies in order to have a crowd. Your Molotov cocktail man to the establishment is a narcissistic fuck of the worst sort. He is not a working man's solution at all.
You keep backing him BJ. He is a danger and a pig.

The demographics make it likely this is the last gasp of White Power either way.

Unless, of course, Trump kills democracy.

If one single guy with blowaway hair can "take away your democracy," then it never really existed.

Michael Brown tried to kill Darren Wilson, and ended up getting smoked. Those are the breaks. Brown was identified as the person who committed a felony robbery of a convenience store as well.

You keep thinking the name of the game is about protecting your nation and dominating from nationalistic hegemony. It is not like that. Capitalism depends on...

Capitalism depends on corporations, which are chartered by nation states. Capitalism depends on enforcement of contracts, trademarks, copyrights and patents, which are enforced by the courts of a nation state. Capitalism depends on national currencies, which are... dependent on national banks.

This is the paradox of globalism. Some capitalists dream of a global government, because they dream of global domination--just like the communists did. It frustrates them that capitalism is so dependent on nation states, as it thwarts their ambitions.

Tainari88 wrote:You keep thinking nationalism is strong enough to overcome these bastards. It is not.

The world went nationalist in the 20th Century as the 19th Century empires went wobbly. Perhaps if nations charter something like the East India Company again and corporations have their own armies, churches, banks and currencies, they can run amok like they did in the 19th Century. I just don't think it's very likely.

Tainari88 wrote:You don't see it that way even when it is obvious.

It's not that I don't see it. It's that mass solidarity is an illusion.

Biden needs to stop being some absent dude and actually talk about his policies and what he plans to do.

This election is so off. Pandemic, unemployment, pissed off cultists, cops using rough tactics. People getting offed. It is crazy. I am surprised at how well Mexico is coping with this chaos. Really.

I'm doing OK Ms. T ……. I know you are doing well because you have a wonderful attitude and ….. a good heart. It's getting cool here on the Maine coast and we will be driving south soon. There is more hate, rage and chaos in America than I have ever seen in my 75 years BUT …… I feel good about it because America is great again ……

Chad? They're a dime a dozen. I find it fascinating and scary that it is possible to be so dumb. If Fat Donald told them that the cow did indeed jump over the moon they would wave their red beanies in the air and respond …… DEFINITELY!
