They probably didn't. If they wanted to leak it then they had like 5 previous years to do it. Probably the papers found a "source" or bought a "source" of sorts. Basically some disgruntled or angry idiot giving away information which he shouldn't.

I mean, would you want your tax information to leak? Obviously there are specific reasons on how this data can be used and when it can be made public. As much as i am aware, this information was not allowed to be made public by the courts or any government decisions. So it should stay private and secure.

The IRS has had Trumps tax returns this entire time. Don’t all you lefties think charges would have been brought by now ?

Not if the offense is bank fraud. The IRS does not have a dog in this fight. The District Attorney for the Southern District of New York does. So standby for news on that front.

After all we learned from the Obama administration that the IRS attacks those on the right and it’s political rivals.

Fake News. Fox News Talking point.

Remember Lois Learner pleading the fifth.

She did. And here is what she said when she did so:

"I have not done anything wrong. I have not broken any laws. I have not violated any IRS rules or regulations and have not provided false information to this or any other congressional committee. While I would very much like to answer the committee's questions today, I've been advised by my counsel to assert my constitutional right not to testify or answer questions related to the subject matter of this hearing.

I'm sure that if you were advised by your attorney not to answer specific questions, you would do it anyway. Right @Finfinder Sure you would.

Aren't you glad I cleared up her testimony for everyone finfinder? You would not want anyone to be deceived by someone trying to slander her, would you?

Actually, the law says Congress can demand any tax return, at any time, for any reason.

Trump said for years he would release his tax returns for years, which was an obvious lie. Then when people stopped asking, he delayed in court, and when that stopped working, he had Mnuchin just sit on them...

Although I am kinda curious how this works together in your head with Trumps anti-establishment and anti-corporatist image/ideas. He basically is doing what you hate, yet you defend him. Next thing, we only need some proof that he outsources jobs and abuses his employer status, oh wait that already came out during the last election. So how is he different compared to a modern corporation or globalist that you hate so much?

I’m kind of wondering how it works in your head. The only people that are accusing Trump of malfeasance are leftist liberal retards and water carriers for the DNC like the New York Times. Do you actually think that the New York Times is a legitimate truthful neutral news source LOL. Where is the beef? Why is it that there is no federal institution charging Trump with any impropriety’s. Federal institutions that we know are water carriers for the leftists and the DNC as well. You tell me Jonathan.

What I hate is pretend made up fake scandals that left sucks up as fact. All politicians suck all politicians are to be despised.

Name one scandal that the left has made up about Trump that’s actually been true and hasn’t really been a projection of themselves name one.

How come no one wants to talk about Joe Biden scandals which are loaded with facts not propaganda, they are actually true.

jimjam wrote:They may find it quite interesting that the man who ran up a $1,000,000,000,000 deficit for 2020 BEFORE covid pays $750 in taxes (way too complicated for the typical trump cult member to comprehend but easy to comprehend by those with more than 2 functioning brain cells.)

It's a loss carryforward. It's completely legal.

jimjam wrote:What if people start showing up in offices, factories, in malls and stores, with buttons and T-shirts reading: “I Paid More Taxes Than Trump”?

Wow! How profound. Just the payroll taxes he pays for his workers is more than most people make in a lifetime. All we are talking about is a loss carryforward wiping out his personal tax obligations, because technically the loss carry forward means he barely made any money for tax purposes.

jimjam wrote:And …… fantastic timing ……. just 5 weeks to go. It will not be helpful to Donald ….. especially if he can be relegated to an endless temper tantrum. I had to smile at the image of fatso sputtering and screaming over this one.

Except it was asked and answered in 2016. It's an old story.

When the audit is finished, which it never is.

Finfinder wrote:How come no one wants to talk about Joe Biden scandals which are loaded with facts not propaganda, they are actually true.

Six corporations own all of the major outlets in the US, and their management and board of directors are all beholden to the same capital interests.

Finfinder wrote:Name one scandal that the left has made up about Trump that’s actually been true and hasn’t really been a projection of themselves name one.

jimjam wrote:Appearances are everything your boy Fat Donald knows that.

This is what @jimjam and the establishment is hoping for. Everybody who has bought and sold stocks, futures, options or real estate understands a loss carryforward. What confounds the likes of @jimjam is that the people who don't understand this generally don't vote.

So, he's either a conman and crook or a complete failure, or a bit of both. I guess we always knew that. The question is why Americans would want to vote a conman into the White House? What does this say about America? Is this a nation of crooks?

Since the tax avoidance schemes are legal provided you can afford a top tax consultants, I guess we have to answer that in the affirmative.

late wrote:Any audit is completely irrelevant, it's the lying that never stops.

IRS has stated that an audit does not preclude the auditee from releasing his or her taxes. This is strictly Fat Donald's call. We can only assume that his unwillingness to release his taxes would puncture the myth he has built around himself as a business genius. They obviously show him to be, at best,an expert at going bankrupt and working a stacked deck that favors billionaires ... not the conned masses he pretends to look out for.

If as the head of the IRS, I wrote emails that clearly showed my bias against the Tea party, the GOP, and conservative groups I'm sure my lawyer would not want me to incriminate myself or the Messiah Barack Hussein Obama.

You haven't clarified anything other than you are not a conservative.

What we can clearly see from this is that Trump stands chin deep in the very swamp he promised to "drain". This also gives us an insight into why he passed the largest tax cut for the wealthy in history....He was mad that he had to pay the $750.00.

I wonder if Mary Trump found someone to leak the info to the NY Times. She said she had info on her uncle in the Spring but she was blocked from publishing her tell-all book on her old uncle. She gave some intel to the NY Post. She deactivated her LinkedIn and went into hiding. Maybe she got impatient and decided that people needed to know before her book goes on the market in the future. It seems like she has an axe to grind against her ugly, old uncle.

This info if true could be widely publicized for many months to come. Liberals, Socialists...anyone can have a field day with it.

CNN wrote:A bombshell New York Times investigation has offered the most conclusive proof yet that US President Donald Trump's business empire is nowhere near as successful as he claims.

Is that all? That could have been something in 2016 perhaps, but not now. Now what matters is that what president he's been, not that whether he's such a great businessman as he claims to be. He's going to explain all that.

According to the investigation, some of Trump's companies are doing well and profitable; others, not so much.

Very likely Trump has much of his money and investments parked offshore in a tax haven like many wealthy do, and that it's perfectly legal, and everyone can do it. That's the problem right there. These tax loopholes favor the rich. Sanders wants to get rid of all this nonsense. Biden will do nothing about them. His paymasters won't approve. Trump used to be one of these paymasters, now he runs the show. Skip the middleman i guess LOL.

Americans are really stupid.

The federal government had a projected $1,000,000,000,000 deficit for 2020 BEFORE covid hit. Being an expert on economics jimjam posits that Donald's gift to America's billionaires is not exactly a having a budget balancing effect. America cannot go bankrupt because all Donald has to do is inject unlimited trillions into the economy but it does look like our business genius president is following his lifetime business model of sheer recklessness and bankruptcy. In lieu of bankruptcy Fat Donald is imposing the "hidden" tax of inflation on the conned working stiffs he pretends to be the champion of. One of the benefits of peeling the secrecy away from Donald's business life is to underline what was already evident ….. his all around incompetency.

I am so old that I can remember when a big part of being a "conservative" was shooting for a balanced budget. These days it seems being a conservative means joining in in the trump greed fest/treasury robbery.

$750 …. ….. that's better than $0 ……. something that even the mentally challenged can grasp in it's ludicrousness.
