But..

"Trump’s overt racism turned the GOP into, essentially, a white-nationalist party, in which racial animus is the main motivator of Republican votes. But in an increasingly multicultural America, such people don’t form a majority. The only route to power for a white-nationalist party, then, is to become anti-democratic: to keep non-White people from voting and to discredit elections themselves. In short, democracy is working against Republicans — and so Republicans are working against democracy. You don’t have to study demography to see that race is at the core of the GOP’s tilt toward the authoritarian. You need only look at what happened this week.

On Monday, the Georgia state House passed a bill brazenly attempting to deter Black voters.. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court’s majority signaled it would be open to more such voting restrictions. In oral arguments, the conservative justices indicated they would uphold two Arizona laws that would have the effect of disproportionately disqualifying the votes of non-White citizens. Then, on Wednesday, House Republicans mounted lockstep opposition to H.R.1, a bill by Democrats attempting to expand voting rights. The bill would, among other things, create automatic voter registration, set minimum standards for early voting and end the practice of partisan gerrymandering.

This is why Republicans aren’t really fighting Democrats. They’re fighting democracy.

The Democrats goal is to create conditions where they can cheat. The reason it was so obvious in 2020 is that they had to contend that Biden--who hasn't given a state of the union address or a press conference--got 20M more votes than Obama, but couldn't fill a high school gymnasium with supporters. At his inauguration, they even had some empty seats and no crowds. They want no signature verification for absentee ballots and to automatically register everyone to vote so that they can stuff the ballot boxes. Obviously, this is not about voting. It's about cheating.

The VRA had to record attempts to suppress voting. That documentation runs for several hundred pages.

More recently, we have Trump pressuring voting officials to alter vote totals, in Black districts, of course.

I can go back before the Voting Rights Act, but that is both well known and violent.

Yes, it's about cheating, by racists, for over a hundred years. Less than 24 hours after the VRA was gutted by the Supreme Court, North Carolina passed the largest voter suppression bill in American history.

You need better lies.

The GOP can afford to be a minority party because American institutions are biased towards rural regions.

Not without an ever increasing amount of cheating.

If they keep doing that, it will destroy the Republic, and prob give us a dictator. The Republicans I knew growing up would visit a great deal of violence on these Republicans.

If there is no absolute truth, there are no lies either. You can't have it both ways.

We have one right now. We have basically an unpopular government now that requires 20k troops--and they won't use regular army so that they can further inconvenience the American people--fencing, razor wire, and a president that won't deliver a state of the union or even give a press conference.

The optics of this government are absolutely horrible.

Like I said, you need better lies.

Oh, and don't try to do philosophy, you simply can't. All you lose if you reject absolutes is the absolutes. Logic is still self-referential. Experience can still be unequivocal.

Speaking of optics, Biden's job approval is still going up...

People like seeing shit get done, and without temper tantrums. As I told you before the election, your gaslighting has stopped working.

And still necessarily contains truth-value functions.

How eloquent. Didn't Biden just refer to a number of governors as Neanderthals?

At least I don't need 20k troops to defend my position.
