What positive change? We will ruin our agricultural land, fuck up the eco systems, make water in general less accessible all of Europe and North Africa, destroy the suez canal or will need to rebuild it and impede shipping traffic across all of the Mediterranean. Loose probably more than half of Fish in the Mediterranean.

In exchange for what? More land? What is the use of that barren land that is full of salt which will need to be replaced with real agricultural soil to be cultivatable. On top of who would want to live on that land considering if anything happens with the Gibraltar Dam then they would be fucked and Gibraltar is an earthquake prone zone. A tectonic plate literally would go between the two sides of the Dam :knife:

Putting some turbines into the flow near the sea floor might be viable as a source of power.
