Leftists, what would you consider your most right wing/reactionary political belief/opinion?

Right wingers, what would you consider your most left wing/radical political belief/opinion?

Centrists... How far do you stretch either way?

Right wing thoughts? I'm so left wing that whenever I'm in a taxi I always insist that the taxi driver make only left turns. Of course, this means that I often end up back where I started, but in the name of Marx, Lenin and the Baby Stalin, it's worth it! :eh:

@Wellsy ;

I want to try to answer these questions briefly and as direct as possible. In an American political context, while I am an Authoritarian ''Left-Winger'' Socialist, my political views frequently will appear American ''Right'';

1. I fully endorse the second amendment.

2. I am Pro-Life/Anti-Abortion.

3. Most of what the Bourgeoisie across their political spectrum support in the sphere of personal and social morality, I oppose as Bourgeoisie decadence, rootless cosmopolitanism. Much of all that decadence would be dealt with in the criminal code.

4. Strong supporter of the traditional nuclear working class family.

5. Do not oppose the role of the Church in it's spiritual sphere.

6. Believe in a strong and patriotic nationalism.

These are my views that would appear to some as being ''right wing''. I do not believe that they are.

Left wingers consider my asylum/ refugee policy to be right wing. I consider the left wing policy of rewarding those who are healthy and wealthy enough to reach 1st world borders whilst neglecting those overseas to be elitist and ableist.

I'm a big fan of reactionary Republican plans to arm working class USAers, starting with teachers.

Hi!

As a secular humanist I stand somewhat outside the left/right continuum. That's neither above or below, just outside. I view each person as an unique individual and prefer those concepts which benefit them as a whole.

Over the years I've come to divide all people into just two categories: those I've met and those I haven't yet met.

Regards, stay safe 'n well.

1) The Right seems to be fascinated with denying basic human rights to anybody outside of its "core" group. I mean, is it so bad that we all have equal rights and obligations... Why does a black, asian, lgbtq etc person should have less rights than the "core" group? And conspiracy theories....

2) The Left dabbles too much in to equality of outcomes and unfair redistribution which encroaches on the rights of others to perform something. Instead they should focus on equality of opportunity. In simpler terms instead of affirmative action quotas in whatever field or work, you should give people more schooling programs for free instead of forcing universities to take in xx amount of xx group or work to hire xx for xx groups. Forcing xx hiring of xx group turns it in to a zero sum game which it doesn't have to be. The equality of outcomes is self explanatory and doesn't work.

Interesting question , especially since as @Potemkin illustrated most hardcore ideologues will not want to admit to having a range of political views , or tendencies , lest they appear to be contradictory . But I will try to answer as best I can . My most right-wing beliefs I do not consider to be necessarily rightist at all . They are rather a fusion of left-libertarianism and Communitarianism , that could be seen by some as being synonymous with red toryism , as I would prefer not to have a buearucratic collectivist managerial state , and I would instead favor the big society over the great society . My most left-wing standpoint would be that of Titoism . But for the most part though , I am simply a centrist Marxist .

I guess I'm a centrist. I am willing to stretch very far in both directions. Probably lean right though, not sure.

- I'm 100% for gun rights and gun ownership. I'm for teaching gun safety and marksmanship in high schools.
- I'm strongly for socialized healthcare, as well as not leaving housing and education to the "free" market. I'm all for free markets, but not for everything, especially not if it's critical to national security/defense, and domestic well being.

I'm also pro penis.
