Oh , I had noticed it . It's just that I , as a general rule , refuse to engage with bad faith trolls in the first place . So , even if I were to have followed this thread and had paid any notice to @litwin , I still wouldn't have felt inclined to pay any mind to his propaganda. What would calling him out accomplish ? It would I expect go something like this . Me - " You're being a mean spirited Russophobe , Litwin . " Litwin- " I don't care , you Marxist moron" . So the only difference would be that I'd be verbally berated as well . And all I'd be accomplishing would be stating the obvious fact that Litwin is adverse to Russians , for whatever reason , just as you are one to try to tie everything wrong in the world to being the conspiracy of a supposed Zionist Occupied Government elite . Pointing out Litwin's prejudice against Russians would be as pointless as pointing out yours towards Jews. Lastly , it has not been uncommon for the enemy in any war , no matter the side , to be dehumanized . For the foe must first be seen as being subhuman before they be brought to be slain . Because normally it would conflict with the empathetic nature of humans to kill other humans . So to make such mass murder easier to stomach we humans convince ourselves that they are monsters rather than our fellow man . Here are some examples , strictly for reference .

And I am sure it would. A Palestine wanting to join NATO would be aligned with the West and, by extension, Israel itself.

Why can't Russia do the same? That is, be on good terms with the West, rendering Ukraine's desire to join it moot?

Russia actually had applied to join NATO , even back when it was still the U. S.S.R. It's application was denied by the western powers . And if an independent Palestine were to be admitted into NATO , it would be joining the same ranks as Turkey , which has continued to be a member nation of NATO , and also happens to be at odds with Israel , which is not a NATO member .

Turkey and Israel may have bad relations (like Greece and Turkey for instance) but they aren't at war with each other. Nobody says Palestine and Israel or Russia and Ukraine will get along in the future, only that they'll stop being at war.
