Israel only became the way it is through intense foriegn aid and the destruction of property.

Unless you have America and the entirety of Europe giving you money and goods for free, the "Israeli model" isn't sustainable. It isn't sustainable now imo.

But somehow, that didn't work in Cuba, Venezuela, Laos, Tibet, etc.

I suspect the long-term prospects for Israel aren't good unless Muslims can be persuaded to renounce their hatred of Jews.

The fact that Cuba, Venezuela, and Laos still exist is good enough evidence that loads of foreign aid works.

And let's not forget that Israel got foreign aid from shitloads of countries and still does today. The countries you mentioned got loads of foreign aid which stopped for decades and they're still running.

Although to be fair, Israel is also far more fragile than most of those other countries but that's compensated by the amount of foreign support they recieve.

Also Tibet never recieved foreign aid; they were always isolationist.

I suspect the long-term prospects for Israel aren't good unless Muslims can be persuaded to renounce their hatred of Jews.

Most Muslims don't hate Jews. Most Arabs living in the Arab world are at least anti-semitic but Arabs aren't the plurality of Muslims and most Arabs aren't even Muslim. Arab dictatorships are also forming close relationships with Israel recently fyi if you haven't been following Middle Eastern politics.

So you're wrong, again.

That is just silliness.

But they are $#!+-hole countries.

"Fragile"? That seems more to describe Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, etc.
Also Tibet never recieved foreign aid; they were always isolationist.

They have been receiving tons of Chinese development aid since the 1960s.
Most Muslims don't hate Jews.

Garbage. The Qu'ran is full of Jew-hatred.
...most Arabs aren't even Muslim.

Ah, yeah, they are.
Arab dictatorships are also forming close relationships with Israel recently fyi if you haven't been following Middle Eastern politics.

And you think that represents reality?
So you're wrong, again.

You are a joke.

No, it isn't. If they still exist then foreign aid works.

But they are $#!+-hole countries.

If they didn't get foreign aid, they wouldn't exist at all.

The fact that they still are up and running even though they only got a little foreign aid proves the effectiveness of foreign aid.

"Fragile"? That seems more to describe Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, etc.

Those countries don't get trillions in foreign aid from the entirety of the West.

Israel only exists due to foreign aid. Their entire economy is reliant on it.

They have a civil war in their borders and have to deal with other threats. If they had no help they'd be worse than Syria.

They have been receiving tons of Chinese development aid since the 1960s.

After they conquered the country and disposed of it's ruler. In which case Tibet isn't a country de facto anymore.

Garbage. The Qu'ran is full of Jew-hatred.

You mean that one ayat that mentioned Mohammad killing a specific Jewish tribe? They don't even mention that they were Jewish, that's info we got from historical work done later. That's how unimportant it is.

Just because Mohammad ordered the death of a tribe that happened to be Jewish doesn't mean it carries over to other parts of the Quran; it isn't a ruling.

Muslims even celebrate Ashura and the reason they do is because it's the day that Musa lead the Jews out of Egypt. Why would they do that if Islam is anti-semitic.

You're dumb as shit.

Ah, yeah, they are.

No, they aren't.

And you think that represents reality?

Yeah it is. You don't just send billions in arms to Israel "as a plot to destroy them". That's a stupid notion.

You are a joke.

IMHO: The sanctions, foreign interference and isolation/containment policies are the cause for Cuba, Venezuela and Laos's woes (less the sanctions/isolative policies wrt Laos).

It's a bit like giving with one hand and taking with the other.

The cause for Tibet's woes is clearly China's policy of total oppression.

That and the Israeli govt withdrawing from its genocidal policies.

"A senior Israeli politician has called for the “conquest of the entire Gaza Strip” and the deportation of Palestinians to make way for Jewish settlers. Moshe Feiglin, the Deputy Speaker of the Knesset and a member of the governing Likud party, outlined his plans in an open letter to Benjamin Netanyahu published on Facebook.

Writing last week after the reported abduction of an Israeli soldier Hadar Goldin, he called on the Prime Minister to vastly increase the aggression of Operation Protective Edge, which has already killed more than 1,800 Palestinians and destroyed thousands of homes.

Demanding the end to the two-state solution, Mr Feiglin called for the “annihilation” of Hamas and its supporters and the creation of camps where civilians from Gaza will be “concentrated” until they can be deported to other countries."

[The terrorists] are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there." - Israeli Justice Minister

It's true the USA has made life difficult for those countries. If they think socialism won't work, why not just let it fail? Attacking and destroying socialist countries makes it obvious they are afraid socialism might actually work.
That and the Israeli govt withdrawing from its genocidal policies.

It's a funny kind of genocide where the victim population is growing faster than the perpetrator population.....
<snip examples of Israeli hatred of Palestinians>
It's easy to understand why Israelis, in particular, would be defensive about a population whose leaders have consistently called for their extirpation since before the founding of Israel.

^ That wasn't one sided either.
And two wrongs never make a right.

And I don't agree with Hamas - WHICH BTW was originally empowered by Israel; ditto for Fatah.

That doesn't mean Israel gets to do whatever it likes does it, no it does not.
