Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmad on Sunday strongly condemned the American missile attack in Wana and the killing of innocent people.

Terming the situation a blatant attack on Pakistan's sovereignty and integrity, Qazi Hussain Ahmad said the US and NATO forces were attacking and killing innocent Pakistanis on daily basis. He said that even the weakest countries could not tolerate such an insult and dishonour, which Pakistan has been tolerating despite being a nuclear power. He lashed out at the Islamabad rulers for covering up the American aggression by declaring it an operation by the Pakistani security forces, which emboldened the enemies further.

Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that after the chances of a democratic government at Islamabad brightened, the enemy conspiracies and attacks had also gained momentum. He said the 11 shameful demands by Washington and open activities of CIA spoke volumes about deep conspiracies against the country. He said the nation would have to fight the enemy and their agents in the government under a united platform.

This is an act of open aggression by the United States against the people of Waziristan, as the airspace of Pakistan has been violated. The United States should face serious consequences should it continue with this unprovoked terror against the people of Pakistan in general and Waziristan in particular. Any responsible government in Pakistan would have massively retaliated against the United States.

This comment alone sheds loads on your knowledge of that area, and really only serves to expose your rediculous ideoligcal bias.

There is no "people of Waziristan", they're an amalgamation of Pastun tribes, clans, and ethnic sects.

Any responsible government in Pakistan would have massively retaliated against the United States.

Idiocy.

Do you even know who runs Waziristan? Because it really isn't the Pakistani government.

Actually, the Waziris are a tribe within the Afghan nation.
There is no "people of Waziristan", they're an amalgamation of Pastun tribes, clans, and ethnic sects.

It can likewise be argued that there is no people of Pakistan. The state is an amalgamation of Punjabis, Sindhis, Afghans, Baluchis, and Urdu-speaking muhajirs.
Do you even know who runs Waziristan? Because it really isn't the Pakistani government.

If the Islamabad Government were to hold all state power in Waziristan, then the purpose of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas would be defeated.

From Netz's link:

WANA, Pakistan (Reuters) - Up to three missiles struck a house in a Pakistani region known as a safe haven for al Qaeda and Taliban militants on Sunday, killing 12 people including eight foreign militants, officials in the area said.

The attack took place in the village of Shahnawaz Kheil Dhoog, near the town of Wana in the South Waziristan region on the Afghan border.

"Eight foreigners and four of their supporters were killed," said a district government official, who declined to be identified.

The nationality of the foreigners was not known but some residents of the area said Arabs were among the dead.

A military official said earlier that militants were believed to have been hiding at the house and seven of them were killed and several wounded.

I say "job well done, congratulations". There should be no hiding places just across the border for terrorists. And local people should think twice before harbouring terrorists in the future.

Why would they do that if they let us enter?

Sorry Qazi, more of your militants are going to die.

This action was sactioned by the Pakistani goverment, who refuse to let in US troops but have no problem letting America take out its mutual enemies.

It still amazes me how often this line is trotted out. There are no people of.... means you can do pretty much what you want to them, because they don't have the legitimacy of actually existing.

I wonder if the 'militants' were real militants, or terrorists, or tourists? How do they check this stuff?
