A woman is held against her will at a luxury spa, which is situated in a remote area, for a whole year. Actually things are very nice there. Other women are also there. But there are no men.

There just happens to be a fetus growing inside a tank on the premises, sustained with an artificial life support mechanism. That fetus will eventually grow into a baby. (Let's suppose that fetus is at 15 weeks gestation, if you want additional detail)

The woman is told if she takes a sledgehammer and smashes the tank, a very attractive man will be brought to her for her to have sex with.

Do you believe such a woman would have the right to end the fetus's life so she can have sex?

This is obviously an abortion analogy, in case anyone couldn't tell.

So, in your world, fetuses develop into babies outside the womb. Note that this is not the case in reality.

Oh for crying out loud. No, the woman would not have the right to kill the foetus as it’s not inside her body.

In the case of frozen embryos, they legally belong to both parents and can only be destroyed or implanted with the permission of both of them. In the U.K. unused frozen embryos are destroyed after a certain amount of time.

I believe there have been court cases where the woman wanted to have them implanted, but the male donor refused to allow it.

I don’t know if the law is the same in all countries, but I would have thought so.

Your analogy doesn’t work, pufferfish. It’s a load of rubbish
