Is it true that Chinese mining interests export Chinese prisoners to Africa, and after 5 years of unpaid work they are then set free?
This is an anecdotal story, but I am told it is common knowledge.
If so, how is this ethical? How can the West compete with practices like that? And what are the ramifications of such an ill thought out policy on an already strained nation like Africa.
Also, I'm not asking the question to add to the 'let's gang up on China' mentality so, please don't take offense.
