A 62-year-old man, Fan,killed his partner in a factory in Baoshan district , Shanghai, before he killed other 5 people with a shotgun, authorities said Saturday.



After a quarrel with his partner, the man killed him with sulphuric acid on Friday night. Then he fled to home, got out a hidden shotgun before took an illegal taxi went to Zhoupu. But he changed his mind when taxi arrived in Hunan road. He killed the driver Bian by his gun and decided to drive the taxi returned to the factory.


As the taxi passed by an army camp. He pulled out his shotgun and killed a sentry standing in front of the gate, and took away sentry’s submachine gun with no bullet in it.


When he got to the factory, he used his shotgun killed 3 other collegues successively.He met polices who was investigating on the first murder scene, and opened fire to them first. One police officer was wounded, but another officer rushed on him quickly and bravely, and wrestled him on the ground before he could shoot the second bullet.

No one knows the resource of the undocumented shotgun.


Fan joined army many years ago allegedly. He had a bad temper, and queered many collegue,said by the people in the factory.
