I know nothing about the Premier, but he seems nice on the picture wireless.

Do you think that American President Barack Obama really serves his people heart and soul and doesn't care much about his self-interest? Or British Prime Minister David Cameron? How about French President Sarkozy? Wen Jiabao is no better or worse in that respect than any other world leader, in my opinion.

Some would say Hu and Wen are merely playing the age-old game of good cop/bad cop.

Mao was the bad cop, Zhou was the good cop.

Jiang was the bad cop, Zhu was the good cop.

Hu was the bad cop, Wen was the good cop.

Someone has to do the dirty job and take the blame while someone else will appear populist and sympathetic to the masses to give the regime a humanistic appearance and legitimacy.

Yep, as a spectator I agree. Mr Hu (does one say Mr Hu?) seems very very serious.
