We are in the process of trying to put together a research and education network of academics who are studying issues around military veterans and their families.

If you know of any such activity in your particular institution I'd be grateful if you could let me know herein, first of all, and I'll follow it up.

I don't know anything specific. At my rather small university a lot of the military history falls on me though. I'm doing a WWI class at the moment and have some material about PTSD in World War I. I hadn't thought of using it outside the classroom, but if there's a broader project I could contribute if need be.

Bundeswehr Central Hospital (BwZK):
I know that they are closely cooperating on international level and that they are involved in the research area. If I remember correctly they cooperated with Prof. H.U. Wittchen (Technical University Dresden) on the PTSD research for Germany.

Ummm probably not of interest, however, the local JSNA steering group that I sit on (in central west london) is considering researching the health needs of veterans, it's a proposal that may not get approved (not much lobbying for veterans), but I will post back if it is.
